Medium and broad italic cursive stubs.  The music nibs he offers are not ground and do not have plating to resist corrosion.  I have a few more abrasive inks.

Executone Wyse WY60, $30. Slight yellowing, could use some retrobrite; keyboard is otherwise in great condition. For someone who doesn't really care for typing on linear switches, I'm surprised how much I like the feel of vintage blacks.

Whoa, these are awesome! I need some peanut butter for all this jelly.

Speaking of... my friend, who I gave the QFR custom w/ ergo clears oo, went to Japan recently... he was eating a PB&J sandwich in front of the keyboard... squirted jelly... popped off B key... threw back on switch but then bent the FARKING leaflet in the switch...................... I can't even go to him to operate... it pains me...

How are greys compared to browns? I'm looking into getting a new board soon.

best i can put is: think of browns as being red and think of greys as being blacks.
The biggest difference is the amount of force needed to press the key down. You can still feel the little bump but it doesn't feel as grainy, maybe due to the amount of force.

The right-side contacts on this spacebar switch are bent quite a bit. (Looks like someone disassembled and reassembled the switch slightly carelessly, perhaps to replace the spring with a lighter one?) Do they still make proper contact when you press the switch?

Green complicated Alps and white Hi-Tek “space invaders” are even nicer IMO. But yeah, “vintage” MX blacks are much nicer than the modern linear MX switches.

i've read that the 7s plays better with vintage lenses than the 7 and 7R

vintage wide angles have horrendous color casting on the 7r and persumably the 7 as well.  with the exception of the leica WATE.  completely unusable.

more normal vintage lens generally aren't very sharp on the 7r because they simply weren't built to match with a 36mp sensor.  but if you're fond of a specific lens rendering and sharpness isn't important (like for portraits), just use it anyways.

a7s has gotten outstanding reviews for vintage compatibility though.

where did you get it please ? ebay ?
Executone Wyse WY60, $30. Slight yellowing, could use some retrobrite; keyboard is otherwise in great condition. For someone who doesn't really care for typing on linear switches, I'm surprised how much I like the feel of vintage blacks.

So excited!

It used to have reds....pshaw!

What model is that? I thought the only tac grey board was the KBT One! I'm really anxious to get a grey board! :D

Well he said it used to have reds, so it looks like he got the grey switches separately and swapped them in

You're absolutely right, my brain had shorted out by the time that sentence had appeared. Whoops!
