my first topre board, the FC660C :)

second attempt at posting, GH ate my attachments :(

81311-0
81313-1
81315-2

cap thickness....pretty thin dyesubbed PBT, compared to IMSTO thick PBT.
81317-3

still, the typing experience is pretty cool. it's going to take a while to get used to the layout (coming from TKL), i hope i can cope with it, else it's going to be a pretty expensive endeavor to get a realforce to slovakia, lol.

P.S. geekhack has a pretty short timeout for uploading attachments, i had to edit the post and and upload the photos one by one, all 4 att he same time timed out :X

that keyboard looks rather tasty.

as for the keycaps, they seem to be standard thickness as befits the HHKB and the Realforce keyboards. Must be Topre standard. Either way, I'd take standard Topre thickness PBT over ABS of any thickness.

J. Crew has some good ones, Nice Laundry (the company sent ordered from) has some cheap sets of 5. I like Club Monaco offerings as well as Banana Republic (what I'm wearing right now) and Uniqlo.

have some fun looking through those.

I love Banana Republic, but have an allergy to their prices, I'll have to go in and look at their socks the next time I'm near one. And I'll have to check out the other shops.

$14/pair qualifies as "Super Expensive" in my fashion addled brain. In my mind <= $8 => Not Expensive, < $12 => Expensive, > $12 Super Expensive.

I know it can go into the $20+ for socks, but that seems a bit much for an every day non-performance sock.

Yup, I have a few packs from them.  Aside from their aesthetics - which some may not like - I've got no complaints about the socks.  They're damn comfy, don't slip, the elastic stays taut and I haven't experienced any fraying in the toes or heels yet.  I've had some pairs for over a year (since their Kickstarter) with constant usage and washes.  They still feel pretty much like new.  That being said, Nice Laundry doesn't offer socks in wool, cashmere or any other blend.  They only rock the cotton.  Still, I can't say anything bad about them.  I also frequently get asked where I got my socks from.  People seem to like the patterns.  This pack I got is one of their more subdued offerings.  They have some really crazy stuff.

I can vouch for Club Monaco, as well.  If you want some really nice wool socks, I have a couple pairs of Prada ones that are comfy as all hell.  They're crazy expensive, though.  Zara might be another option.  I have one or two pairs from them, too.

Is the one on the right purple bliss? If it is I'm crazy jealous, that may be my favorite Bro color.
People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

The dumber the reason the more it must be done

I'm not sure.. There was no accompanying information, but it very well may be the Fauxluminum Purple

I'm not sure what those mini moldy "peanuts" are. Did the white peanuts shrink or something?  Glad to hear the board is OK though! What did you get this time?

Also never understood the reason why ppl use peanuts. Packed air/closed cell foam is such a better alternative.

Air is lighter, and therefore cheaper, and also won't mold or collect moisture.

Only the penuts next to the damaged part become yellow and have mold on them... I think the package somehow got wet when it was on the plane

Anyway the keyboards are safe, and they are G80-2100 and G80-3000 with apl keycaps :D
