Realforce 86UB 45g
« on: Sun, 12 August 2012, 07:48:23 »
The Ketboard Company has a "USA Topre Realforce 86UB 45g Mini Black on Black Keyboard".  Other than the extra windows key, and the larger spacebar, I believe it is the same as the 87UB.  Is the spacebar, like the 103 series, difficult to replace (if need be)?  Also their price for the 86 series is the same as the 87 series.  Isn't the 87 series newer?

Thanks

The 87u is newer. The spacebar would be difficult to replace because all of the topre sets have spacebars that fit the 87u.

Thanks.  That sort of seals the 86s in the "no buy" closet.  Guess I'll have to wait a couple of months until The Keyboard Company restocks.  Want an all 45g board.  Bought a 55g board, about ten days ago, from ELite, and I would gladly buy another board from them.  However, I gave Brian a real hard time about shipping, and it seems that he no longer wants to do business with me.  He won't even answer my emails.  The fault is mostly mine, and I would reccommend his store and services to anyone who wants what he has to offer.

Why did you give him a hard time?

There was a problem with choice of shipping carrier, and some faulty paperwork, but, in the end, he refunded me the cost of shipping.  He was more than fair.
