Happy Hacking Pro 2 Japanese

Someone tell me, or delete this post, if this is obvious, but searching through the threads I was under the impression that HHKB Pro 2 JP keyboards go for about $500. Here, it's selling for $310, and is available in black too. Bargain?

I've never ordered anything from that site, so I'm not sure how reputable it is, but it does appear to be a bargain price. That price does not include shipping, which looks to be about $36 to my ZIP code.

You can purchase the HHKB Pro JP directly from PFU Fujitsu from their online store, for ¥24,990 (currently about $317). You have to use a proxy shipping service, such as tenso.com, and the EMS shipping plus service fees will run about $50.

A few people got theirs from gs4u -- I think the consensus is that they have low prices but less than stellar customer service.

You might have saw people talk about the Type-S JP keyboards, which do go for $500+ on gs4u. Do not buy from gs4u if you want a Type-S though, the Type-S is only supposed to cost about $60-$70 more than a normal HHKB JP.

The HHKB JP price on gs4u is pretty good though, unless you have a japanese bank account or credit card (or friends with such) then it looks like the cheapest way to get a HHKB JP.

Pretty much any Japanese store that stocks it will sell it for that price. Main one is the official HHKB online store on the HHKB japanese website. If you don't have a way of buying stuff from Japan you'll have to use a buying agent like when buying from Taobao, even with fees and such, it'll still be less than $450 (I believe that price should be counting shipping to North America as well).

Before I'd say no, but apparently I'm blind and I never noticed a keyboard store there that sells HHKBs despite directly walking past it a few times.
The store is called Keyboard Hell and its in Sham Shui Po near but not in the Golden Computer Mall there.
