Pokers are so sleek, centered and symmetrical.

I know the layout is not for me, but almost every week I consider buying one. It will only be a matter of time before I crack.

Yeah layout definitely isn't for me I'd get no functionality out of one. But I kinda wanna have one for fun

I am still thinking about ways in which I would use it. One thing that comes to mind is a small keyboard that I would bring with my laptop. But I think any Cherry MX is too loud for most public places in my opinion. Hmmm, I am sure I will think of something sooner or later  ;D

I'm the opposite. My TKLs just seems big, cumbersome, and full of unnecessary buttons now compared to the Poker, let alone my full-size Model M! :))

Well I need F keys. Can cut off the right side though. 75% is not an option because of the weird spacing and additional right hand side column.

I know this is the Poker thread, but my ideal layout would be something like this:

Unfortunately not attainable for me because the dude chopped off a PCB or something or directly wired it.

I completely understand that the layout is far from ideal for some. Fortunately for me the only time I ever touch the function row is for Alt+F4. That is a very nice layout but a one-off custom is quite a lot of work as you said.

If you read 2 or 3 posts down from where you quoted that, you will find some answers ...
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I vote red - with all that green you need something with a bit of contrast :p

Or ... put the green on for now, and switch to red as Christmas gets closer.
