Well, I just ordered a CM QF with blues from Amazon.  I'll know Friday if they're shipping the revision.  If not, I still have plenty of paint left over :)

and still has a great price and build!

How can you know this? Most recent amazon review;

This product was defective upon receipt. Also, I noticed the quality was not as good as the same keyboard in Cherry MX blue. Strange.

zaffeh: why are your mod row keys looking so 'un-alligned'? ctrl in particular

the quality has not changed at all. There are always bound to be a bad board or two out of the batch. 9 times out of 10 though when we receive them back they work perfectly. If not its usually a cord issue, I must agree the quality of the cords supplied from Costar have been less than perfect.

  That must be lighting + crap phone image quality, because it looks perfect in person. And about that bad batch, these are electronics and the reality is sometimes they come dead on arrival.

I'm pretty disappointed - I just received mine from Amazon 5 days ago, the older one with the logos. While it's a great keyboard I've been biting my tongue about the branding. And then I just saw this post last night. Any hope to get it exchanged somehow?

Sorry to say, we still have some older stock mixed in with the new. I actually just walked in from checking the stock going to Amazon. Unfortunately, some boxes were the less branded models while others were not.

I personally really want to exchange it, rather than pay for sandpaper/spray paint and void the warranty by opening the case down the line (my original plan). What do you suppose the best option would be? Return it straight to Amazon and then just wait till all the stock is new? Or go to CM directly about it?

Cheapest solution is exchange it at amazon. There is a good chance it will be the new one, but their are a few old boards floating around in their shipment going out today.

As for exchanging it, its not my department and I am going to guess they will ask you to pay shipping.

How is the new batch identified? Some of the users in this thread say the box still has the old front image. Is there something else on the box that lets you know that it's a new one?

I would recommend a simple sticker on the retail box, seems cheap and easy to do.
/**************
 *  NEW LOOK    *
 **************/

I ripped open the tape sealing the box along with the foam just to verify that i was getting the right keyboard, right in the middle of the keyboard aisle
luckily for me the right revision was inside or else some poor soul would have bought it with the tape ripped off and the foam ripped open.

Also, are these being done to all the switches? I see that it's been done for the blues and reds. I ask because I may just return it completely, and go for the browns on Cooler Master's website.

I can discuss it with our team, I could bring them in, but it would basically be selling you a part which would violate your warranty..

Let me see what I can do.

Thank you.  Understood about the warranty.  My MX blue was bought used for fairly cheap so warranty is not a concern in regards to that one.  I'll keep an eye on this thread for the update.

And thank you for being a member here and speaking directly with some of your consumers. It's nice to see that from a larger company like Cooler Master.

Cheers,

I am intrigued my greens. They feel pretty good on my phantom (need to get that soldered), but I come from buckling springs, so of course I prefer heavy, loud, clicky switches.

Took the words right out of my mouth! Would very much like an unbranded ISO QFR and directions to a reseller if there is one.

Darn, that's a shame. I'm looking to sell or return mine, then hold out for a possible one in the distant future then - I'd love to see the prices on TKL brown switches go down a little bit. The cheapest ones I've seen are the Leopold (drawback being Cherry stabilizers) or the QFR (drawback being current logo plate), and those are both >$100 taxed/shipped to CA. Crossing my fingers that it'll happen some day, I mean, keyboards with reds have dropped like mad more recently.

Thanks for all your help Carter!

Carter, I just wanted to say that it's very nice to have an actual CM rep on this forum that directly talks to us.

I bought my TKL quickfire directly from CM store with the dreaded logos also, so I'm interested in buying just the new case without logos as well.

Been lurking for a few days, but joined up today to reply to this thread...

I ordered my QFR with Blues from Amazon late Wednesday afternoon.  It was delivered this afternoon and has no labeling except on the very top.

This is my first mechanical, and also my first tenkeyless - which will certainly take some getting used to - but I'm loving it so far! :D

Working on top cover. Looking very promising. Do have a question for those interested. I can bring in grey and black which I will bring in both, but with majority grey case owners out there. Do need to hear if they would be sticking with grey.

I'd be happy to have the option to switch to black even with a grey bottom.  Not having a grey case I don't know if I'd want to keep it grey, maybe it's a nice shade?

I have Imsto's green on dark grey PBT on my Filco... it is sooooo purty.

Need to take better shots when it's not middle of the night with only 1 halogen bulb going.

Edit:  So the point was grey can work in lots of places :)  I'd probably keep the grey PBT on a black case, Hmmm, QF w/ reds and the red plate and imsto's red on dark grey.....

How long as the quickfire MX reds been on amazon? I check every few weeks for a couple months and it was not available, and I just found out from this thread. Think I'm about to grab another QF rapid MX reds. Carter, so you can confirm the ones on US amazon that MX reds will be guaranteed to not have logos, but MX blues is still a matter of luck? And just to be sure, this is the correct one, right? Picture still shows the one with logo:

I'd like to see both options available as I would use both (and might still sand and paint).

edit: hopefully to be more helpful, I'd like to see both options available (which you said you would have) but I think that black will be in higher demand.  White keys do look fantastic with the grey though :D
