Hello everybody,

Are you in need of a high quality custom cable? Then you came to the right place!
Not only do I use new high quality components, but you can also completely customize your cable!
You can count on it that I am only satisfied when the cable is perfectly put together by my own hands. It might take a little longer, but I do not want to sell flimsy and rushed products!

So, what can you use the cables for? Well here are some examples:
- Internal cables for your keyboards; Filco, Realforce, Dell, Noppoo and more..
- External USB cables for keyboards (HHKB, Phantom, Ducky, etc.), printers, DAC, hard disks, phones, etc.
- Detachable mini-usb cables for your keyboards
- Audio cables: RCA, 3,5mm, whatever you require.
- And pretty much everything else on custom demand as long as I can get my hands on it and if it's feasible. You want something unique? I'll make it!

Here are some options that I offer:
- Paracord or MDPC sleeving
- Silver or Gold connectors
- Several types of connectors: USB-A, USB-B, Male Mini-USB, Female Mini-USB, Micro-USB, PS/2, ..
- Different internal PCB connectors for a variety of keyboards
- Detachable cables
- Ferrite cores
- Cable holders (with pre-applied 3M tape)
- Heatshrink on request
- ...

Order Forms
Closed indefinitely

All the information you need should be in the forms, but in case something is not clear or missing, send me a PM!

Sleeves
Paracord: soft, sturdy and nice to touch

MDPC-X: premium durable netted plastic sleeving

USB housing and cable holders

For more examples of what I've done please take a look at the other pages :)
If you have any questions/comments, doesn't matter how small or big, just ask them. I'm happy to answer. You can always contact me via PM and I'll try to respond as fast as I can.

Please take into account that I have a fulltime job and I'm doing this as a hobby so sometimes life can get in the way and delays can occur.

Thanks!

Thanks for the nice words everyone :) it really gets me motivated! I'll post a teaser of the next batch of cables tonight (well, in the Belgium evening) if I can find the time. But remember, I won't be putting these up for sale for about a week or a week or two because I'm quite busy atm and don't want to delay orders.

There is no real competition with Mimic imo
This is cool for EU geekhackers,
1 cable shipped with techkeys/mimic is almost 2 cables shipped with Paranoid for me

I didn't realize only one person was allowed to sell custom cables.

That's like saying MMB is selling the brocaps because he's trying to compete with CC that started doing custom molds first. The more people offering cables or custom caps, the more choices we have.

He used different kinds of sleeves, I'm not exactly sure what types. Some of them were Paracord but I think most were a thicker, softer material. The cables I use are high speed USB 2.0 cables, which are also good for printers, data transfering for hard drives, etc.. which are mostly used for USB connections.

I think he used shoelaces or that is what it looked like to me. Also I think Batmann is asking about the quality of the cable as MiMic and others used high quality cable as well as making them look good.

Yes it's a quality cable. I don't know what other information you want but anyways here's some copy and paste of the cable info:
- USB Shielded High Speed Cable 2.0 Revision 28AWG/1P+28AWG/2C AWM 2725 80c 30V RoHS
- Device Cable for Connecting USB Cameras, USB Printers, USB Hard Drives, USB Adapters, USB Switches, USB Scanners, USB Everything
USB 2.0 AM/BM, UL 2725, 28/24
- Cables are Fully Certified USB 2.0
- 28-gauge high performance power wires ensure maximum USB performance.
- mpedance matched twisted pair construction helps to minimize cross talk, ensuring high-speed, error-free transmission.
Undermold shield helps to prevent radio frequency and electro-magnetic Interference (EMI/RFI). Hood shielding eliminates antennae excitation.
- Etc.

Little update: I'm hoping to get the google docs form up by the end of the weekend so I can already get a line of orders beforehand. And also structure the OP a bit. But don't get your hopes up if I didn't make it :D

If your just using the cable to hook up a keyboard shielded / unsheiled and regular / 2.0  is pretty much irrelevant unless your worried about tempest transmissions lol.

Just wondering, but do any of your cables come with a Filco adapter option?

If you mean by Filco adapter, to plug into your pcb, yes. You can choose the option in the order form to have a Filco connector so you can swap your original Filco cable with this one. You would still have to open your Filco case of course to swap it, but no soldering or resoldering is required.
I don't have a picture of a finished cable with that option yet, but it's this connector (with no loose wires obviously :p)

Strain-relief provided on such cables?  The Filco strain relief appears to be molded on and not re-useable.

 - Ron | samwisekoi

p.s.  Same questions for WASD v1 cables.

p.p.s.  For that matter, a fixed, strain-relieved cable to upgrade the Rosewill cables would be a huge benefit to a lot of people!

Hi Ron,

Thanks for that question. You are very much correct in this case that the strain protection can't be reused. I tried to anticipate this problem and ordered some strain protection grommets. They were very difficult to find, and for sure for such small cables. Anyways, I quickly disassembled my Filco now to show how it would look. To be honest, this is the smallest one I could order and I must say it is still a bit too big. Well actually for a sleeved cable the inner diameter is perfect, but to fit in the Filco case it's really snug. But you can adjust the position of the grommet as you like before re-assembling the case to make sure that your case closes well. But this will for sure provide bend/strain protection for the precious cable.

As I don't own a WASD or Rosewill, I can't say if it's the same. I can only assume they have about the same connectors and mounting holes as a Filco? I thought they had the same manufacturer or something. Maybe someone else can answer this on my behalf :)

Anyways, hope this answer helps you already!

Cool sleeves, I actually like the heatshrink method because it is as low-profile as you can get, no bulk.

Who would discourage someone producing a (different in many ways) product, that they are proud of? Ridiculous, no end to the geekwads here.

Well that's pretty tough to predict. One week from EU to US would be pretty much as fast as it gets. I can ship it out by tomorrow but I can't make the airplanes and postmen work faster :D
So to answer your question: if you're lucky, yes. But it's not at all guaranteed ^^ Probably more unlikely than likely unfortunately.

That does indeed answer my question.  The WASD should work with your strain relief.  The Rosewill needs to be soldered to the PCBA inside, then strain-relieved.  Your solution -- with some bare wires at the keyboard end -- should be perfect there as well.

People with broken Rosewill cable connectors, take note of these!

Custom request: Behold the detachable Filco mini USB cable!

The female mini USB connector is now also available for cable ordering! A small Filco to female mini USB cable will be cheaper than the standard cable. You can PM me for this or you can order it in the docs form and add a comment so I can adjust the price.

*edit*
The cable was already adjusted for a full sized Filco keyboard, but now also custom fitted perfectly for a Filco TKL! I'll have to adjust my google form now for easier ordering :)

I will be ordering some more Paracord sleeves in the upcoming weeks. If you have any desire for another single or multiple colors or pattern you would like for me to add, speak up!

Also, I finally found some nice Gold plated connectors I could use, but only if there is enough interest. So if there is any interest in this, shout out!

And lastly, I was asked a while ago for some MDPC cables but had my hands full at the time. It seems Pexon already uses it now but if there is any interest for this in my cable range and options, again, let me know here :)

For the MDPC and Gold connectors there might be a small bump in price depending on the shown interest.

Cheers!
