That looks amazing but dear god the price! One seriously awesome piece of hardware though so I bet it was worth it.

Not cheap at all, but well worth it.  Looks amazing.  Have always thought about putting together a full metal keyboard.  I'd certainly have to hide that price tag from my girlfriend.

Makes a $300 Topre seem cheap by comparison ;)

The only thing you could upgrade is the alphas into scarface caps. That would be something.

How would the finish be on the caps if they were sandblasted?

The culmination of 5 group buys.  (3 by feng - big thanks btw  :D and the custom plate which has not finished yet )  I would like to present you with the full metal filco:

Hey you should have gotten your plate by now, in the same package as the GH60 prototype PCB I sent you.

Not challenger, follower.

Would be a good fight. Although, i hear there is an underground metal keyboard club, but I'm not supposed to talk about it.....

Holy effff... that is one pricey board.

But damn... worth it.

Please, if you can, post a clip of how it sounds to type on?
I will get a vid with some good sound.  I'll borrow my buddy's Audio Technica for it.  And show off the cable from mistakemistake.

I have recieved it,  I have a lot on my plate (pun intended) right now.  I just turned 21 today, and I got a HHKB for my birthday.  I will source some Clears, and install the plate.  Standby for picks! :D

Thanks for all the comments guys,  A couple times during the group buys, I had second thoughts about spending this much on a keyboard, but I'm really glad it all came together this well.  A korean custom it is not, but it's still deinetly something to brag about.  After drooling over keyboards for a long time on this site, I'm proud to finaly have something of my own to show off.

Picks of the new cable from Mimic!

And the plate, which I will install when I get some clears...  anybody selling?

daerid - I haven't forgotten about your request for an audio clip.  I'm just gathering the parts to make a high quality recording, so you get an actual sense for it, as opposed to a crappy recording.

Get get a mimic cable and ull top it off.
It's in the mail,  will post picks when it gets here.
That zinc color is a little to shiny. I do like that finish though, since it looks like satin. If only they made brushed aluminum keycaps to go with the case, or even a darker metal with a matte finish. Good god...
I agree, all the group buys happened at the same time.  There is rumors of feng doing Ti mods later this year,  I hope it happens.
A. Even though I'm over Cherry, I'm officially jealous. Like..... super jealous. If I could get zinc Topre caps, I'd be happier than ****.
B. How much did that end up costing, after all is said and done?
MKC Aluminium case + shipping - $352
Ti space bar + shipping - $114
Zink keycaps + shipping - $173
HID liberation device + shipping $24
Universal TKL plate + shipping $35
Mimic cable + shipping - $49.12
2nd hand Filco + shipping - $90
total - $837.12
I still need clears and switch stickers.

Wallethack indeed.

And I thought I was crazy for buying four pallets of IBM model M's for $250.....

IBM Model M | IBM Model M SSK | FK-2000 | FK-8000 | FK-9000 | Fujitsu Peerless | Zenith Data Systems (Yellow ALPS!) | AEK

My custom TKL plate is the cheapest metal piece of your keyboard  :)

Just assemble it already. You can install clears and stickers later when you get them since the plate easily allows for modding switches. All that shine makes it awesome-sauce.
