Pics:

you can see the poker fits all of the stand off(s) of the case.

Order list:

......others had been shipped
total: 33/33 shipped

I'll take one! :D

EDIT: Actually, how close is the color of the case when compared to the aluminium Mac color? If it's the same color, I'll take 2 instead of 1 :)

Hmm $120 shipped... not bad. Does this have the same exact dimensions has the stock plastic case? Does it include the M2 screws also?

Looks like I'm gonna cave and get one of these before I can finish up my GH60 case design.

It's actually pretty close (My gf has one and a MBP). I kinda wanted a gunmetal gray case to match my Samsung Series 7 Chronos, so I'll probably get this one anodized.

Edit: May have to dremel that center standoff out of there. It's right under an SMD diode on the poker PCB...

You can relocate the diode if you want to go that route. See the wiki article here: http://wiki.geekhack.org/index.php?title=Modifications:KBC_Poker_X:Pure_Center_Support_Modification

I figured you would buy 10-20 lol.
According to Mashby, newer Pokers come with a case that has a center standoff, so maybe we'll be okay without any dremeling Link to photo

You can relocate the diode if you want to go that route. See the wiki article here: http://wiki.geekhack.org/index.php?title=Modifications:KBC_Poker_X:Pure_Center_Support_Modification

That looks scary :(

Edit - Relocate? I understand how to remove it, but where would you move it to? I'm such a KB neophyte lol

After more careful reading, it appears that the diode won't prohibit mounting the Poker PCB in the Pure case. The wiki shows how to use the standoff to mount the Poker PCB more securely. My mistake, sorry.

Thanks for positing this! I think I'll file the standoff down a little instead :)

So the centre standoff definitely won't foul that diode?  If not then I'm definitely in for one. :D

I just did a test fit of one of my Poker PCBs in my Pure's plastic case that has the center standoff. The D51 diode may be sitting on the standoff, I can't tell for sure. But since there is nothing torquing the PCB down to the standoff in the center of the case, and because the PCB naturally has a bit of flex in the center, I don't think it's a problem, even if the diode is sitting on the standoff.

They aren't perfect, but I still think they are nice cases. I like that there is bracing all along the bottom of the case, so if you don't have a plate, it'll still feel solid.

The center standoff is fine. The diode 51 sits ever so slightly higher than that standoff. There is a very small chance the solder joint might touch the standoff, depending on how much solder. To be safe, just put a piece of tape on that diode.
