Out of curiosity, because I read such comments numerous times here and in other forums...
Is it common that the wife takes care of financial management in households ie. over in the US?
In some families yes. In others she just reigns supreme and if there isn't enough money for her to buy shoes then there is hell to pay!
Its a common American theme.
Its used as a joke to say the wife rules the house. But there is some truth to that in many homes.
Its probably a combination of the pussification of the male species in America along with other equality issues.
There is a common idea that everything will be ok if the man just does what the wife says.
In the long term it might not be that beneficial to the relationship as a whole.
This isn't every relationship or marriage.
