This looks to be a super useful thread.  I have some experience with injection molding (former polymer chemist, silicone tentacles for Cthulhu costume, etc.) and I think I'm going to take a crack at this eventually.  It has been a while since the original post, I'm wondering if you have changed your advice on starter resins.  My current amazon considerations:

Mold: OOMOO 30 or Alja-Safe
Resin: SmoothOn 320
Release: ethanol, olive oil, Triton abomination I make or maybe some store bought stuff.

Any thoughts before I go do something stupid?

The thoughts on my OG post are all still current.  Take it as a stepping stone and learn the rest through experience.  There are just some things that I can't explain in words.

In the future, if you intend to keep resins longer, it might be wise to try preventing moisture from getting to them.  I'd keep them in a ziploc with some silica gel packs, drierite, or other dessicant in the bag (or other sealed container) to prevent issues.  This won't prevent it from going bad, but it might buy you a few months.

Dude I'm so jelly. No, I mean you're so jelly. No, the CAPS are jelly. Yeah.

Sorry to hear that!  Hopefully the resins aren't ruined just cold.

You could also use polystyrene boxes to store your temperature sensitive resin/reactants. They're the most practical things.

I saw a video in which people use a nitrogen tank to fill the air gaps inside each resin bottle after each working session, if it's possible for you, that's the ideal solution, appart from buying low quantities.

That is probably the best solution, but it might be expensive.  Either you have to have your own bottle, or you need to rent a cylinder from somewhere like Airgas or a welding shop.  The stuff I use ends up being about $15/mo to keep the tank, plus what you paid for its contents.  That adds up for light use.

Not a big deal.  I can easily get more material if I need it.  We'll see how things are going.  My wife's mom just had a heart attack...today, so again life is complicating things.
