"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I'm rather flustered today. I've fought hard, and definitely worked hard to get where I am today. That's a definite in my life, but it does seem every time I'm ready to chase my dreams of building a gaming class PC, money dries up. It's agitating, I was making $25/hour paying no rent all summer, then we had no home for school in September (3 weeks in a hotel = bye bye PC) I've wanted something that I don't have to play games on low settings at 1280x720, but it just seems to pan out all wrong.

Also, I did get a new phone a few weeks back. That was awesome. Had to, my last one was smashed.
I realise I'm really, really whining at this point. But dammit! I want mine some day.

I'm tired of concert promoters scheduling cool **** all in the same night. I wanted to see Redman and Method Man but it was the same night as Origin/Unearth/Darkest Hour! Will I ever get to see any part of the Wu?!

I don't feel like working at all. At uni/college you could just skip a day when you didn't want to go to class. Now I have to plan it and use vacation days which are limited. On the bright side I have a lot of free time coming up, so I will just have to deal with it today.

Not really. "Gluten intolerance" is the more or less made up one. Gluten allergies probably do exist, but they're extremely rare. And then there's Coeliac disease, which is by far the biggest issue.

I agree that the vast majority of people who go gluten free have no actual reason to be doing so.

I wish IT departments were allowed to operate like Dr's offices. Spent all morning for an x-ray and diagnosis. Approaching 4 hours now.

Imagine every problem that comes to IT takes two or more hours just for diagnosis, then a referral to a specialist after the initial visit. Copay at the first office--yay. You'll be paying another copay for the specialist just to walk in the door. Not to mention missing work!!

I got in the wrong biz!!

Binge's first world problems,

I ran out of my yogurt.  My wife opened up extra yogurt of hers and gave it to me.  She likes exotic **** all life and **** your tastebuds sort of flavors.  I'm so hungry but I have to eat this **** I would have never bought on my own.  I think it's expired.

I hate mango orange cheesecake yogurt.

Celiac disease is very real and very ****ty.  :(
Unintended pun?

Celiac diseased is caused by Glyphosate (Ready Roundup Herbicide) that is used on GMO crops that is in all of the conventional (Non-Organic) foods.
All the processed foods feature some form of corn or soy that is contaminated with herbicide residues; They even find herbicide in childrens bloodstreams.

•   Glyphosate’s negative impact on our microbiome may be the reason for increasing rates of allergies, celiac sprue and gluten intolerance, and colitis and Crohn’s disease. Glyphosate destroys the gut bacteria we need for good health. Scientists have observed that in chickens and cattle, glyphosate kills the good gut bacteria while leaving behind bacteria that causes food poisoning. •    Exposure to glyphosate correlates with chronic illness. Chronically ill people have significantly higher levels of glyphosate in their systems than healthy people. •    Glyphosate is an endocrine disruptor which is toxic to placental cells. This means it may impact our ability to conceive and carry healthy babies to term. It may also cause breast cancer.
•    Glyphosate makes vaccines far more toxic than they would otherwise be. When children are overexposed to glyphosate, they are more likely to react badly to vaccination. There’s an intricate connection between the gut and the brain, such that an unhealthy digestive system translates into pathologies in the brain. Aluminum, mercury and glyphosate work synergistically to create severe deficiency in sulfate supplies to the brain. This may be what’s causing the epidemic levels of autism and other diseases such as Alzheimer's.
•    Glyphosate is a chelator that deprives living things of vital nutrients, vitamins and minerals. This is how glyphosate kills plants. It may also be how it’s killing people. Glyphosate-induced vitamin deficiency may be a factor in the growing cancer rates. Glyphosate has been directly linked to Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. A recent meta-analysis found that exposure to glyphosate doubled the likelihood of contracting B cell lymphoma. Will the EPA consider this evidence and move to protect everyone from glyphosate?" Probably not. "

And of course nobody cares about my post, eat your toxic emulsifier ice cream or whatever, enjoy (because it is all toxic).
This planet features a species that has sowed a nightmare upon themselves and thus it is one into which they will reap.

yea, blank links bother me too
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

Good catch! I fixed it. Hope you get over the flu.

I'm still being bothered by some strange stomach thing, thought it was a virus, maybe it is but it just won't stop. I just hope I don't have some major GI issues that I didn't know about.
