hey there guys, some raindrop has started to arrive

ive had a couple people tell me the package was sent by something called media mail, i dont know what this is but i understand as a result of it, some additional charges may occur in order to pick up the package

firstly i wanna say this isnt acceptable on our part, i have spoken to raccoon (the US proxy), he assures me this was an accident and wont happen again, for anyone this affects, if you incur any additional charges whatsoever, i will happily cover those for you, if this happens, please just send me a pm with the details of the additional charge, and i will send you a refund and an apology right away

This means that the person who tried to send it also tried to abuse the mailing system within the USA. Media mail is only supposed to be used for items that are educational. Media mails are also examinable by postal staff because it is extremely cheap compared to regular shipping prices. The extra charges are occurring because this just means that the a postal staff has opened the package and realized that the contents of it are not educational (Within the requirements of what can be sent via this shipping method).

I apologize for whoever are receiving this but it shows how the person shipping them is definitely trying to game the system in order to save shipping costs.

P.S. If someone is to send anything via media mail, the USPS staff will tell you all these as well as reiterate the fact that it can only be for educational items.

ive spoken to raccoon and he assured me its a mistake, theres no reason for him to game the system, because i just send him chunks of money (like $500 at a time) then when he starts running out (at about $100) i just send him more

that being said, as i say, this has happened, ive brought it up with him so he is aware its incorrect, whether or not it was a mistake, and as i say, any additional costs incurred ill cover

no all is well sir

as im from the UK i dont have the best understanding of the us postal services and such, and i also didnt send them, so i can only really say what ive been told

and that is so far that there have been 2 packages sent this way, as soon as i heard about this, i spoke with raccoon, he told me that shouldnt be the case and must have been a mistake, and i stressed the importance of not making that mistake again

and then i came right here to let everyone know as i like to be upfront about these things

as stated, if this affects anyone in anyway im sorry, and ill make sure nobody suffers but me financially as a result of it, whatever the case, it will be over a smallish sample size and wont be happening from this point on

You should not be affected by this financially as media mail is extremely cheap compared to regular shipping which means that whatever you had sent before should be enough if you gave enough to begin with.

A  20x20x20 box with a  weight of 30 lbs will cost approximately 70 usd to ship from my location to LA Cali.
A  20x20x20 box with a weight of 30 lbs will cost approximately 16 to 17 usd with the same exact locations when sent as a Media Mail

FYI media mail for domestic USA is cheaper than priority and mainly used to ship heavy media (usually textbooks).
the Post office basically subsidizes the postage for these high weight goods. 
Ofcourse if inspected by the post office and is found to not qualify for media mail rates, you or the recipient will be charged the standard parcel rate accordingly.  Being that media mail rate is cheaper.

These guys seem to be very transparent in their communication and are updating us as soon as something worth mentioning comes up. So, Im basically saying to keep being patient and that Id rather have them working than replying to questions regarding status for this or that order. Hugs
