Does anyone know of a serial to usb adapter that will work with a keyboard or the keypad above?

I tried one adapter and it doesn't support keyboards.

I guess that something could be made with a teensy.

At one stage mkawa was selling PS2 to USB adaptors that apparently also work as serial to USB adaptors IIRC.

The Tripp-Lite Keyspan USA-19HS supports keyboards so should work. And has drivers for just about any operating system you would use. Costs a bit though.

That's the thing - you have to buy a full set (if they are even still available).

There was a rumour that Bro was going to make Topre gamer sets - I wonder if (a) the profile of one of those would suit, and (b) whether he will make yellow or orange.

I suspect the answer to both is YES!

It's on the list, along with a lot of other things :))

Sort of nearer to the top of the list though!
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

This is a BS keypad... Maybe NIB. At least, it came in the box and has no signs of use. Arrived in yesterday's mail.

Nice!  I need one of these.
