Samplers don't appear to be an option anymore. I was going to put in an order for some 78g gold and a sampler set, but I don't see the sampler available and it's not really worth it to me to only get the one set, what with shipping costs.

Yea... $13 for a $10 spring set (assuming you're even taking the gold version)
It's too bad. If I could modify my order I'd grab yours at the same time and send it by regular mail to you

However, packing springs in a paper envelope would be irresponsible, and if this could happen to keycaps, you can only imagine how springs would look after processing. I ship all my items in corrugated cardboard boxes and secure everything in multiple layers of bubble wrap (Picture of R1 Proxy for Gold Springs). Besides, maximum thickness for oversized envelopes is 2cm, and any form of padding would push it over the limit & there still wouldn't be any form of tracking, other than registered mail which requires signature and isn't much cheaper for oversized mail.

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound like I was complaining about the methods you have chosen to use for shipping -- they're very reasonable given what we in Canada have to work with. I just personally can't justify spending more on shipping than on the actual springs. I would order more in a second, but I don't know what other weights I would like to use, hence wanting to get a sampler pack as well, rather than order full sets of springs I'd likely then have to sell. Thanks for the detailed explanation.

I think at this point I'm going to wait for the next round, hopefully samplers will be an option again then.

Because of the Cost for small quantity, MOQ for the Gold-plating,   
I had to change all the 100/120g  to be Gold-plated.
It's added last Friday, and under production this week.   
The Price per set had to be changed, really sorry for that,   
(but the price for the orders by last week will not be changed)
