I took the last of the shipments (minus the damn dinosaur one :P ) to the post office today.  Everything's in the hands of the postal gods now.  :)

You know, I just realized it might be easier if you just forgo the drawing and send 'em to Last.  He's building my Viper, anyways. :))  You can owe me the dino drawing on another package.  I'm sure I'll get something from you sooner rather than later.

Due to my indecisiveness, I can't choose whether or not I want these springs. Just wondering when the orders close.

No no no, you're getting a dino drawing, damnit.  Last can cut it up and ship it to you with the board.   :)) :p

How does shipping work exactly? They are being sent to a proxy, then we need to pay them to ship it to us?

No, currently sprit is shipping directly from his location to yours. Prior to this, you would have paid for shipping one time and it included getting the springs from sprit to the proxy and then from the proxy to you. It was an effort to simplify overhead and reduce shipping costs. I paid more for shipping to get my second set of springs directly from sprit, but I should get them quicker.

Oh my, those golden springs are really nice. I did not wanted to buy golden ones, but it was the only option because of participating too late in this group buy. I have made many pictures of those sexy things, because afterwards you won't see them anymore :)

These are 100g springs supporting MX Clear sliders:

First of all thank you Hoff and Sprit!

I am glad I did 62 for mine so far.

A few of my switches seemed rough (the slider/ramps) so I am testing each out with a 62g before lubing etc etc

One that got built already (and was sticking even when I tried other 62s... Didn't seem to be the spring) I turned into a 78g space bar switch :) also put some extra rubber on that one for less travel... Seems good

Another I stuck a 68g in and it's the escape key.

If I'm not mistaken, 62g is the minimum for clears in order to not have problems with slider recovery.

Just got my shipment of 62g and 65g

The 62g feels so sublime.

I usually prefer a heavier spring (loved stock Clears) but 62g ErgoClears are orgasmic.

No lube yet, just springs. I'd imagine lube would take these to another level but I don't have any on hand to test.  :-[

The 62g springs make the Clears feel somewhat similar to my Topres in terms of weighting and a slight difference in actuation. The only thing missing is the buttery smooth feeling of Topres (which I'm guessing lube will help with).

I can't wait to start building a new board. Have decided that my next project will be Cherry MX build with an HHKB-esque layout (if only I had gotten in on the Duck Viper GB)...

I put the 100g springs in MX Clears, and already worked a little bit with the board. The tactile bump is definitely there, but it feels somehow wrong. I don't know if scratchy is the right term for it. But definitely interesting as a test and i was interested to do so! I thought it would be great for work when you are angry and have to write mails  :)

Clears have a bigger bump, so I'd imagine the bump of browns with 100g sprigs would be barely noticeable at all. I think the bump of browns with standard springs is already too subtle.

Like a heavier tacto-black. I'd think the feel of the bump would be pretty insignificant on 100g springs...

Got my Clears, got my springs, got my Black switches! Going to do a sort of "cascade" switch mod: 62g into Clears, Clear spring into Blacks, Black spring into other Clears, so I'll end up with 3 modded switch types, ErgoClears, Ghost Blacks and Panda Clears  :D

What are people doing for backspace, enter and other switches with stabs?

I figure there will be some extra friction so I put together some 78g swtiches. But I think that's overkill especially when I wanna reduce strain from hitting enter. Just wanna make sure say 68g is enough.

I also found one switch that lost all tactile bump after greasing. Will try a 55g spring in that one...

Do you mean for ergo clears? There is no need to use stronger springs in stabilized keys. You can lube stabilizers as well BTW.

You probably applied too much lube or lube in the wrong spots on that one. You can remove the lube and reapply it.

I've ordered multiple sets of springs from sprit and received them without issue.

Charge backs shouldn't even be on the table, sprit is a legit guy. You will get your ****, just be patient. Besides, I think you're *way* outside PayPals charge back window.

Yes, last contact I had with him was on 06 Nov 2014, 10:24. It was related to me proxying, he was making sure everything was fine. Also somebody else from DT recently got springs directly from him, so don't worry you'll get your stuff.

While admittedly not from Sprit, Zeal recently posted a picture of your case/plate and told you he has everything of yours except for the PCB. That is an update. It might not be what you are wanting, but to say you haven't heard anything about your stuff in a year is simply untrue. People in the other threads that are receiving their stuff (which you would be receiving too if you hadn't ordered a PCB that hasn't shipped yet) are going to tell you they are getting their stuff and to trust Sprit, but as trizkut pointed out, you're really just looking for justification in what you've already decided you want to do. Zeal also told you that, since you ordered through him, a charge back is only going to hurt him, not Sprit.

I’m a little late to the party, but I guess late is better than never.

Just to make sure I understand correctly, if I wanted to turn some reds into ghetto blacks, I’d be looking for something like the 72g or the 75g springs?

It's hard to say. The force graph is different for these. Cherry's spring s have a much steeper graph than these do. I think you're in the right ballpark though
