[WTS] TG3 Keyboard, Keycaps (PBT Blanks), steel plates, etc.
« on: Sat, 26 April 2014, 15:15:19 »
I'm done with the keyboard hobby, so I'm gafiating and selling everything - keyboards, keycaps, switches, cases, tools, etc.

I'm located in the US, buyers in CONUS+AK/HI are preferred for ease of shipping.  Prices include USPS Priority shipping unless otherwise noted - I do ask that buyers add the 3.5% Paypal fees.  Open to all offers - get a package deal on multiple items!

Note: Please send me a PM or email if you have a question about something, as I'm not always online.

$1 each - DSA Deep Dish Blank Black PBT Keycaps.  22 18 available.

$50 - TG3-BL82 "Cop Car Keyboard." MX Clear switches, double-shot keycaps, PS/2 connector.  Keys are back-lit (white), but it requires substantial modding - stock setup uses a 12v power source for the lights.

EDIT: I've been told these are actually red LEDs, not white.  As I can't confirm either way, I just wanted to let potential buyers know.  (And yes, it's dusty.   ;D )

Sorry to hear that you're burned out on keyboards.  :'(

However, I've been doing a small purge of my own, and I do find it helps to focus on the few things that you truly enjoy. Best of luck with what you post next, since everything you just posted appears to have sold!

Any hints you can give us on what to expect?  ;D

I'm keeping a couple of Ducky keyboards, and a Keycool 108, plus a bolt-modded Model M for work.  Other than that I'm clearing out the workshop.  Miscellaneous keycaps (mostly DCS), some padded zip cases for 60% boards, stainless steel plates for Poker and Cherry keyboards, one of the Marquardt military keyboards... plus more stuff as I clear off the shelves.  I think there's one of the TG3 cop car keyboards with clears, that's the kind of items that I've accumulated far too much of.

Do you happen to have the splashguards for either of those TG3s? I'd be interested in the one with MX Blacks if it has a splashguard.

Okay, anyone who bought something from me should have received their tracking numbers.  I've got some more stuff to post, the process of taking pictures of everything takes more time than I realized.

Coming soon:

- G80-3000 ANSI set (thick, black, lasered)
- DSA caps (deep-dish black blanks)

Every one of the photos I've added has my GeekHack.org user name handle and date picture was taken as a label, per the Classified ad guidelines.  Isn't that how they should look?

I did overlook doing that for the TG3 keyboard photos, but I can upload edited versions if you'd prefer.

The purpose of the rule is to prove ownership.  Anyone can modify a photo they find on the internet to include their name as you've done.

There is no need to retake every photo to comply, a simple handwritten note with a pile of keycaps for each set you're selling is perfectly fine, and attach it below the other pictures.  Just something to prove that you own the set.

I'll certainly get right on that, for the items I still have on hand.  You may have noted that I did include either a Tarzan novel or similar vintage Edgar Rice Burroughs title with most of my sale items, as a logo or identifier in addition to the label on the picture.  But I will go ahead and take another series of pictures with sticky notes, as I now understand that's the preferred option per the example picture in the classified rules.

As I'd seen other users here watermark their photos, I assumed that the instruction that reads;

Quote
Only list for sale or trade items that are already in your possession.  Include clear photographs of your items (in good light -- no blurry night-time “potato shots”) along with your Geekhack.org user name and the date the photograph was taken.

...could be met by doing likewise, and labeling the photographs using a digital watermark.  My bad.

I didn't catch the Tarzan novel, but yes, a simple note is definitely preferred as a means of identification.  :)

As for the watermarks, most people simply do that either for fun or in case that photo is nabbed and used elsewhere then they at least get a bit of recognition.  If someone is doing that for their photos in a classifieds post then that definitely doesn't meet the requirements.  Certainly no worries though, it's understandable, and as long as it gets fixed in a timely manner it'll all be fine.   :thumb:

All my active items for sale have been updated with new pictures, adding the requested hand-written notes.  Going forward I'll make sure to include similar notes in any pictures posted of sale items.

I'd suggest the mods clarify the Classifieds rules sticky to specify what is required vis-a-vis labeling pictures of sale items.

On the off chance that you want to split up the orange modifiers and tsangan kit from the Cherry Replica set, I would love to take them off your hands.  Would also take Numpad set to leave you with a full OoW set with no oddities, if you prefer.

Cherry WoB set and both Wyse sets are sold, price drop on the Cherry Replica set, and further price reductions on the keyboard skins.

More stuff still to come, haven't had much time lately to unpack items and take pictures.   :-X
