Hey guys,

How much interest is there in the following GMK bundle?

- Classic Beige 1.25x mods
- Center stem, full-touch caps lock
- 6.25x spacebar
- 1.75x right shift as a bonus

There are quite a few folks with winkeyless BSP classic beige PBT sets, but it's next to impossible to find the right doubleshot mods to make them work on modern keyboards.

If we have GMK make these, we'll be mixing plastics, but it will make the Originative and upcoming Imsto sets much more useful. There really isn't a better option, AFAIK, since BSP doesn't have 1.25x molds.

Or, maybe it is time for a bona fide classic beige group buy? 

What do you guys think?

Also, how many folks would like to add a 7x spacebar to the bundle as well?

ALSO, does anyone have both BSP and GMK sets? If so, can you photograph the keys side by side so we can see how close of a match the colors are?

Sorry, I had a copy-paste error. Check revised OP. It's everything you need to use an Originative or IMSTO set with a standard board. But speak up if you would also like/prefer a full classic beige GMK set.

If you want 1.25x mods or the center-stem caps lock, you have to find someone willing to break up an existing classic beige set. So it's nigh impossible. The 1.75x right shift is even harder to find, AFAIK you have to find an old school Cherry one.

Also would vote for the classic windows logo, although I'd personally be looking ideally for a blank set!

That's probably the smartest thing to do. Replies so far indicate that people want both, which is not really a surprise. Obviously the key question is whether people will buy both  Let's see what people say over the next week or so.

Ugh, I've got Cherry dyesubs and NIB Cherry doubleshots if that helps. Not sure if colours are exactly the same though.

This is essentially a moogle kit right? If not seems like it may as well be so that you could use these with vintage cherry sets that have 1.5 mods. Should only be a few more keys. I think there are more people with incomplete doubleshot sets that could add to the MOQ than there is with incomplete PBT sets.

It's pretty close, I am open to adding the rest of the Moogle parts if it's affordable and people want it.

Bottom is 5000HAMPO doubleshots. No yellowing, from a NIB board.

Colours are definitely a little different.

Chance of hitting MOQ for a full set is almost zero. There are so many classic beige floating around and there are so many ways you can get a set.

I actually couldn't disagree more. It's not particularly easy to round up a set with all the right parts, and there's a reason why the Originative sets are in such high demand on the secondary market.

I agree with pacifist, they don't seem to be available ever so often, with how originative handle their business right now, I wouldn't even want to be close to dealing with them, and usually when there is one for sell in the classified, they would be sold instantly or at least, it'll be there for less than a day. Finding a real og board is even harder..

Exactly. I would like to have a decent and complete set (6.25u spacebar, all the mods, etc) but don't want to go through the mix and match game.

I'm not trying to argue that it's easy to get classic beige set in good condition. The price of old Cherry caps have been ridiculously high in China recently AFAIK and it still doesn't stop people from trying their luck. I saw a lot of people posting old classic beige set on keyboard forums in China and that's why I was under the impression that a lot of people have that set. That explains why I voiced my concern about hitting MOQ. I could be completely wrong. I just thought this might be some information whoever is interested in this groupbuy wanted to know. That's it.

It seems a lot of people were also pretty hung up on Dolch sets as opposed to the proposed grey one. I still hope the grey one happens at some point :/ In any case, I agree that the classic beige set will probably be pretty popular like Dolch.

Originative created a hype saying soware gmk is coming, and then they went back to their old way of doing business again. Such a waste. I'll just wait for this beige set.

It's cool man, it's never a bad thing to have a dissenting voice. Some organizations even have a system where one man is obligated to dissent when there is unanimous agreement. You could be right (but I hope you're not)
