Does Viper support full board LED? I know Eagle does so I think Viper should too but I haven't seen any picture of Viper with LED on.

okay, I'll bite. In for a Viper, I'm guessing there will be more anodizing/ powder coating options? (hopefully something that looks good with Penumbra :D)

Probably only if you do it yourself. Most of the Duck buys have offered only silver, a blueish grey, and black. The lightsaver V2 had a red option.

What do people think of the blueish grey in person?

So this is a cherry MX based PCB, I've seen on the site he does some Alps projects, any chance there is a compatible Alps PCB?

beige powder coating would be siiick. I'm not sure how well the anodizing would work.

You won't have to pay till the actual group buy is underway, this is just a check to gauge interest in the buy.

this might be a stupid question... but i filled out for a eagle and not for a viper, and i'm wondering why most people like the viper more? isn't the eagle exactly the same, except the layout allows for two more keys, instead of control and alt in separate places?

I guess people are just bored of the traditional 60% aluminum cases. There are already an abundance of poker styled cases in the wild, but the Viper is the first HHKB style case without using blockers.

The Eagle does have more flexibility, but if you like the layout of the HHKB, then the Viper is the board to get. The case is elegant and as I understand it, the PCB is cut to fit into the one-piece case.

With the exception of the KMAC Happy.

Which is priced in a way where you could get both of these instead and have both layouts.

I hope the blue-grey looks good with Granite.

Also, should I go with lubed blacks, or clears?

You want blockers for the Eagle?  If it's available, probably limited to silver or black.

+1.

I need to sell more stuff, but this is a fantastic deal for all that's included.

Just out of curiousity, I noticed some of the pics showed a dedicated number pad unit.  Is that going to be offered as well, or just the two different keyboards?

There's another group buy by Elton for that Butterfly Pad a long time ago. I wish Duck could do another round though.
