Still have my Commodores with keyboards: VIC20, C128D, A1200.

I'm probably in for the color pack.

Do GMK have Commodore or Amiga legends? That would be a nice touch.

I thought the "A" legend on the Amiga 1.25x key was pad printed?

Yes those were just pad print Amiga 'A' keys on the old ones. No big deal. Pretty sure they wouldn't make Commodore logo since those are still an owned trademark.

Key selection will probably be fairly close to what was offered here that made it to production. Will just go straight to buy, no reason to waste time in ICs.

That's the spirit!

white + beige is the most boring color scheme for keyboards invented by man.

I respectfully disagree.   :p

+1

Next will probably be this colorway

in this arrangement with the darker shade on the alphas and lighter on the mods and etc, but for modern keyboards obviously.

There will also be a fall inspired minipack with yellow/orange/red shades to go along with it.

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Above all else in this world you NEED to GET THEM MADE as SOON as POSSIBLE  :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: .

Do not let anyone else dissuade you from going to GMK with this colour scheme.  Forget about Unicorn-Coloured, nauseous rubbish that youngsters are now so keen on (except Handarbeit).

PLEASE make this happen soon without any further haste, I have always dreamed about this colour-way even when making love.  Ivan don't let us down here on Geekhack  8) .

Yep, it's common especially on 60% boards with split backspace to move \| up, put ~` next to it, and have backspace in that newly freed spot.

I hadn't noticed that, but now my excitement is peaked again! One of the most important parts of the OddMod pack that got left in the dust was that key (second most important was the stepped Control). Technically my Capslock is Fn now, but I'll just pretend it's a 3rd Control just for this key

It's an alternative (actually clearer) backspace symbol.

Sorry, I don't know what you mean. The main set does of course come with a standard 2 unit backspace that you need for any normal layout keyboard. That one has a normal arrow pointing to the left.

The 1.5 unit backspace in the color pack with the alternative legend is for special layouts.

I think Karura just means they wish there was a 2u row 1 backspace with that alternative legend and in cyan, not just that there is a 2u row 1 backspace in general. I kinda stopped using my 1.5u key as backspace once I switched from my Minila to a Poker II, but I might assemble my black NerD 60 with a split backspace. There's no 1u row 1 \| key that I can tell, but I suppose I could use that Joker key, or use one of the gray F keys to make the color fit at least.

Ivan, for the sake of time and your leisure, I'm sure most would be willing to cover the sort costs. I know I would in future buys.  :thumb:

So Ivan you've decided to not add an extra 5 Euros for sorting these caps out, why?  Do you really think that we are all tight arse, scum bags only interested in getting the absolute, rock bottom prices on key-sets?

I would rather pay you extra in my useless Convict Currency to any value in Euros to make sure you didn't have to count and sort millions of key-caps by your lonesome.  Plus it would of gone faster in shipping so everyone would get theirs sooner.

Don't ever go cheap on GMK sets ever again PLEASE include the extra money for GMK to sort all the keys at their factory, before shipping.
I love Elrick's articulation but he's right! I wouldn't stinge $5 for the pre sort. Pre sort is not only convenient for you, Ivan, but it will ensure accuracy and less 'returns' or 'complains' about missing keys in future. If I knew this is an option, I'd have opted for it too!

The presort thing didn't come up until after this was all paid and I didn't want to be asking for additional funds for it so it is something for next time.
The delete 1.5 key was more for fun really. It can be useful for some layouts, but I personally more envisioned the colorpack as being a mini alternates kit to add some color. There would have been a lot more keys if the odd pack would have made it where it could have made more sense. I intended it to be used with that also as a flair key much like how the old Cherry switch TA typewriters had that 1.5 delete key in an alternate color.

The 1.75 Control caps replacement was my surprise. GMK also added the JOKER key as an additional surprise. So all color packs will have 2 additional keys from what was originally intended.

I will be using the 1.5 cyan backspace.

It is basically the standard position for backspace on HHKB layout, so most people building this layout will likely be using it along with the cyan control key.

I will be using the 1.5 cyan backspace.

It is basically the standard position for backspace on HHKB layout, so most people building this layout will likely be using it along with the cyan control key.

I'm doing the same. Unfortunately there is no \| R1. I think I'm gonna use the R1 Joker in it.

I'm having trouble finding which keyboard you mean exactly, got a picture of the layout?

It's this layout

It's almost like the color pack was made for a HHKB. Maybe someone can use a Novatouch and make it happen. I knew what I was getting into with not being able to use that backspace key, but the control key just doesn't make sense to me with this set. I will be using Joker though, and I can find a Code key pretty easily I think, so that is a plus.

Ah, I know about this one, just wasn't sure there was a version that took MX keycaps since these dolch caps are MX

The control key makes sense since it is probably the most common capslock remap.

I use it on all my boards, KUL, CODE, noppoo and poker2 can make this change with dip-switches.

Fn also good remap for caps, found for myself that left side of the palm is very good for pressing control key in left corner of the keyboard (and other left hand fingers can easily access buttons for nix combos), it's like a 6th finger! Just try and give the time  to evolution, and maybe next generations of programmers will be with six fingers, who knows :)
