Well... larger bezel on all sides (although it does not look as shockingly out of place as on the new Mini) + huge knobs... defninitely not for me.  I really liked the classic/Filco-like case on the previous Shines, which was a welcome aesthetic counterpoint to the bling-y LEDs.

I'd like to know more about their different LED colors, though.

What is the deal with those nobs? I wouldn't buy this just because of them. Other than that the board looks nice. I like the case design.
The knobs are.

look like bi-color LEDs, unless they uses Kailh...
Does kailh allow for two LEDs to fit?

no, but 5mm RGB LEDs can fit in
Oh....
Did not know...
I don't think ducky would make that kind of a jump from cherry to kailh.

Thanks for the pic, Hendy! Guess I was right about the knobs. :))
1 knob for volume, another for LED intensity?  :))

Interested to see what kind of new kbs will be demo'd at Computex this year.

Corsair does have the right over selling Cherry MX RGB keyboards on the year of 2014, but that does not have anything to do with companies being unable to develop keyboards with MX RGB, as soon as they are sold only in the year of 2015.

But this Ducky Shine IV surely doesn't looks like Cherry MX RGB, since the keys aren't backlit evenly (check the zero on the numpad) and there's no light bleeding everywhere.

Anyways, besides that, it does look like the word "4" really is similar do "death"...  :-X

Can't be sure about that. We can only see two different colours and there are already keyboards that do that (Rosewill Hellios) as well as a Costar prototype from back in mid of 2012:

I've received the Tesoro Lobera G5FNL Supreme Edition (Kailh Black) just today and it has RGB capabilities:

You should see their mice, the Gandiva is a bloody mess...

Dat off-centered sensor...  Plus some average build quality... :-X

But yeah, looks cool and all, but somehow I'm really not that excited about it.

I'll compare with the Corsair Vengeance K70 RGB, which should arrive here next week.

Where did Tesoro even come from.  The first I heard about them was when he who shall not be named started shilling them on Reddit.

Back on topic, those knobs are even worse in the video.  They're massive and just look ridiculous on top of an already bad design.  If they swapped to Kailh as well, they are now no better than Razer in my eyes.

I like the feeling of circular brushed metal...I just hope those aren't plastic & the chrome isn't plastic coated.  :-X Knobs are also a bit too big IMO.

Is it just me, or does the video make it look like the LED's are missing the "G" from RGB.  The demo showed variations of Red and Blue only.

Ducky Shine 4 uses bi-colour LEDs, not RGB ones.  ;)

I wish they'd used red/green or red/yellow instead: more options for interesting colours and effects. I haven't seen any "fire" effect on a keyboard yet.

That's why I originally thought, but MK are only a distributor of Tesoro, however, their keyboards use the same internal parts. I actually have their Durandal esport keyboard and it's pretty nice even though I had problems with the spacebar and had to get a new one.

What I would like to see is Ducky reduce the size of the bezel around the keys; it seems very thick. Based on the photo in relation to the key cap size, it appears to be at least twice the size of the bezel on my Majestouch 2 and Novatouch. This is also what I do not like about the case of the Ducky Mini v2.

It looks, to me, a little thinner than half a 1x keycap. I think the angle just does that, it should be about as thick as the top bezel of an HHKB.

Appears so... I'd probably reuse the space from my DS3... Not the snake one though. Or buy MK space bar for it...

You're not alone! I really liked the knob on the Corsair boards (though they're differently aligned) and would love to have them on a Ducky to control volume and lighting intensity.

I never used the volume scrolly thingy on my K90 when I had it...
Once I set up what I thought was a reasonable volume for all my crap on my computer I never touched it. The only one I still mess with is spotify, make it quieter when I play, and make it louder when I'm browsing stuff.

+1 A space-bar like that only points the light at you and is distracting as ****. As for the knob it only effects master volume, which I always want the OS set to 100%. I have an Objective 2 amp for master volume.
