To be honest, it really looks odd to me. The design is strange, definitely something else though, i'm sure it's appealing to some.

It's not as terrible as a giant Ducky mini with the huge fat bezel, so I am grateful for that. If I do somehow end up with a Shine 4, it looks like I will probably vinyl wrap it or repaint it because DAT GLOSS.

Very curious how the TKL series will look.

When mispronounced,  it is the same as "Death" or the verb "to die" in Mandarin.

Them knobs. One of the few things that I liked about the logitech g710+ Was the volume scroll. Will save judgement on the knobs until there is a pic with a better angle.

Knobs seem a bit tall, but not all that bad. Do not particularly like the gloss case and bezel (I guess it could be worse) though.

I can't help but to feel like this potential Ducky Shine 4 + Ducky Legend that they just previewed recently feel a lot like Das 4.

But less pretty than Das 4.....

I find the knobs out of place.  I'd rather have the standard 4 app buttons they used to have.

I'm interested to see the lighting modes it will have and how this will compete with Corsair's MX-RGB board.

Also, given the case design could it have an underglow?  If it doesn't, that would make for a nice mod.

Wouldn't it make them go up in price? If no one likes the new design the old ones will be even more desirable.

Is there any confirmation that this is the Shine series? I can't find any. I don't think it would make sense to update the Shine 3 with this. They've also teased other full-size backlit boards like the Ducky Legend.

I'm a fan of volume knobs, so I do like that. Not sure what they will use the 2nd one for. It's not like you change the backlight brightness that often.

Keyboard with knobs on :))

Shiny case though :(

Wonder where the knobs would go on a TKL ...
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

It reminds me of this Dell KB113P rubber dome which, incidentally, is the keyboard that was so bad it's how I ended up getting into mechanical keyboards. The ****ty HP rubber dome board I was using at work died and that (Dell KB113P) was the keyboard our PC dept. gave me to replace it. The built in "bump" on the bottom of the case kept the keyboard on a permanent slant which had my wrists aching after 20 minutes. I started looking at finding a nice, high quality replacement and just happened to stumble on GeekHack.

Kind of a long winded rant, but my point is that this board looks beyond disappointing. I would never own a keyboard with a permanent slant, even if it were free. One knob looks stupid enough, two knobs looks idiotic and cheap. The glossy case would be nothing but infuriating. It's like Ducky found a recipe for making one of the most disappointing mech boards ever and followed it to a tee.

Aesthetics make a huge difference in the look of cases  :) I personally find tray/rectangular cases boring looking. :(

Incline might not be good for your wrists, but it sure makes a properly designed case pop even more. ;)

Super round corners, glossy plastic, fancy shape... I'm thoroughly unimpressed :/

I wonder if the knob's functions will be re-assignable. I don't care for the shape, it's easy enough to find replacement knobs if one wants to.

It looks like Ducky is trying desperately to make their keyboard resemble a DAS unit and that is it's biggest problem.  Soon as DAS gave up on a shiny face plate (dust magnet) out comes Ducky to steal that design from them.  Of all the ideas to pinch why concentrate on only DAS which aren't that great to begin with  ::) .

Oh well, it just means older Ducks suddenly get more attractive as time goes by......

From this picture it looks like the legs might be removable since there are rubber feet/pads right next to them. That doesn't resolve the multitude of other issues but it at least makes it usable IMO. If they ditched the glossy finish and the knobs it would be a perfectly acceptable board.
