Necrobump; has anyone here been able to submit an offer that the seller accepted?
If so, how much did you offer?

For what it's worth they've increased it up to $99.99 + $8 shipping.

Wow, this is still active!  It consistently shows 9 left, but now he's sold over 50.  I've modified the price in the title.

I have to wonder where there was an office filled with M13's.

Just make a low offer and see what happens...

I need a NIB Black M13 to complete my collection  ::)

You need all 3.  A beige, a black, and an industrial.   Only my industrial is NIB, but the beige is mint and a few of my blacks are near mint (one may be mint, have to check the keys on them again....).

Think about it like this, you could've paid a whole lot more for a tex yoda for a board with a trackpointer.

Here's one reason why you'd want to buy a black M13:

 8)

$50 seems like a good price (paid mine $95).

The white letters are known to fade quickly so you probably don't want to use such a setup your daily keyboard: mine is hooked to a secondary computer which I don't use very often.

Finally received my boards, and they're all in really good, if not great, shape. The coiled cable on a couple of them is a bit tangled and disheveled, but that's a minor quibble. The boards themselves should look as good as new once they're wiped down.

I received mine: looks to be in excellent shape, legends all perfect. Just a little dust (which I don't mind) and the cable was sorta bent: otherwise perfect!

Got mine early this morning right before I left for work.
Mine was surprisingly clean and dust free. No shine, looks practically brand new and the coiled part of the cable still had its clear plastic packaging twisty tied on.

No, I ended up buying 3 because, at $50 each (well, two of them anyway), I plan on using the caps from two of those to create the color scheme that I wanted for my F-122, and I'll have a complete M13 left over.

As a daily thinkpad user; it's as good as a thinkpad's. Meaning it's a full-fledged IBM trackpoint with force meter to gauge cursor acceleration with how hard you push it.
My only peeve is there's no scroll button. Also, it's a bit stiffer than my thinkpads which helps gauge how fast you want the cursor to move easier imo*.
The trackpoint cap is interchangeable w/ thinkpads so you guys can buy a set of caps off ebay considering the seller does not include the set that would've otherwise came with it new.

It's not.  It's good, but not as good as the ones on thinkpads which are later generations of the design.

I guess I have offended the cult of thinpad users then. Oops. Death by thinkpad? (it's like stoning but with thinkpads instead)
I was asserting functionality; probably my 2nd part is relevant to what you mean.

I was thinking of putting the caps on my F122. Relegendables of course for the extra function keys at the top. Maybe I'll just use it as-is, though.

Yeah, I gotta agree. It's as good as the one on my 380ED thinkpad, from around the same time period. The ones on my t61p and x220 are way better. But really, the only big problem I have with the trackpoint 2 vs. the trackpoint 3 is that they weren't designed for high resolution monitors. The fastest you can get them to move is just slow as hell by modern standards. Trying to go from one corner of a 1080p monitor to the other on a trackpoint two takes agessssssssssss. I hope noone with a 4k monitor got one of these, lol.

He's got some left in stock if you're still interested.

I really love the black and white color scheme on the F-122, myself. My original plan was rather profligate. I was planning to use two of the boards specifically for harvesting their function keys in order to fill out and cover all of the F-122's function rows and the third for the F-row and its modifiers, however I'm finding it difficult to justify pillaging three perfectly good M13's solely for their key caps. They're unique and I'd kind of like to have one that's complete for the collection.

Weren't these things normally going for 200-300 bucks before? This guy must have found a bunch and just thought he couldn't sell them all for that price. Do you think this will undercut the price of m13s in the future? clickykeyboards.com usually buys bulk m's, I wonder what they would have offered for all his stuff,

$50 plus shipping. Better hurry, only 3 left now. :)

I'm not saying I just bought 2 more, but I'm not denying that, either.

Not a bad price coz I've seen some M13 sold around $100 on ebay recently. I was wondering why the seller put a very dusty keyboard photo for the list...

Because some buyers on eBay are extremely picky and are quick to open a case for item not as described. Considering he has a fairly huge quantity, he's using a worst case scenario image to represent the item in order to be on the safe side.

Yeah, the one I bought before and already received is in really good condition. One of these will be sacrificing its black badge and the keycaps for an industrial case I have that has no badge, with bolt modded 1390131 internals.

I tried the trackpoint on one of the M13's with Windows 7 and I'm wondering if I need drivers? The keyboard works, but neither the trackpoint or its buttons respond. What am I missing? I'm using a Bluecube adapter. Do I need to use additional cables or something?

I'm replying here as I believe this is the thread where you meant to post this.

There's two cables coming out of an M13 - ok, technically one cable that splits into two.

The keyboard one needs to go thru a quality active adapter, though you might get away with one of those cheapo ones depending on your hardware.

The mouse one can be put thru a cheaper adapter, thought I don't recall if a passive adapter would work.  I think it did, but can't say definitively.

I have run M13's with one of those cheap Y cables, beige cable with purple and green ps/2 connectors, but a few years back the newer thinkpads stopped liking those and had to switch to bluecube for the keyboard side while leaving the mouse side plugged into the Y cable.

The seller just restocked.
It appears they're sitting on a mountain of them.

One thing I'll say about these M13's... even though they're manufactured by Maxi Switch, they seem to be of the same quality as earlier Model M's manufactured by IBM. Unicomp's weigh a little under 4 lbs, whereas these, like earlier Model M's, weigh closer to 5 lbs. Further, there's no case creak, and the cases feel a lot more rigid / solid compared to Unicomp's. I also don't see any cosmetic imperfections on the surface of the case which I've noted with Unicomp's. I'll have to check for flashing around the key caps, but considering the boards I received were made in '95, I'm impressed. Like earlier Model M's, these make Unicomp's look like cheap imitations, in my opinion.

EDIT: Changed Lexmark to Maxi Switch.

Agreed.
My only jeer is the keys are 1 piece and not 2 piece.
