Anybody know if either of the spacebars are compatible with an FC700R?

Yes, there are 2 spacebars in the pack. One fits the FC700R the other one is for regular stem positions.

Source:    I use the sideprinted black set on my FC700R :)

What do you mean by media controls? Do you mean the DAS 4 with the knob?

If so, this set should be compatible as it has the standard bottom row with these key sizes:

1.25 - 1.25 - 1.25 - 6.25 (spacebar) - 1.25 - 1.25 - 1.25 - 1.25

1.0 and 1.5 modifiers are not included in the Leopold set!

Looks like at least the spacebar won't fit and there is no replacement key for the FN key. I wouldn't advise mixing the Leopold and the original keys, because they have different profiles (DAS keys are considerably higher).

None of the Leopold Space Bars will fit, but the sets do contain eight 1.25 keys that fit the bottom row.

Im just guessing the layout from the link that was posted but it looks like your bottom row is:
1.25 x 1.25 x 1.25 x 1.25 x 6 x 1.25 x 1.25 x 1.25 x 1.25

So as long as you find a kit that offers a 6u (not 6.25u) spacebar along with 8x 1.25u mods you should be good to go.

It's closed now but something like the Granite Set that was on MassDrop should have easily had more than enough keys to cover your Das board.

Just ordered a white side printed set for my Novatouch.  I wanted to get blanks but it would be a pain when having to type one handed or if someone else wanted to use the pc.

Will post potatos later!

I think the spacebar is only 5 unit. let me check.

yeah, it's 1.25 x 1.25 x 1.25 x 1.25 x 5 x 1.25 x 1.25 x 1.25 x 1.25

Good catch, my bad. I don't think I've ever seen a 5u spacebar offered in an aftermarket set?

SP might have them but I'm watching TV on my other screen and don't want to pause it so I can DL SP's keycap listing, but that's where I'd check.

Other options include: TG3 BL82 (I believe Sp made the keycaps anyway) and ricercar SPOS followed by japanese keyboards. Tipro has a 4 unit I believe. G80-1800 winkey is longer than 5 I believe. I can't think of other sources right now.

It would be a lot easier to sell that thing and buy a different keyboard.

I asked widebasket if he had heard anything more about non-printed black PBT sets

Quote
According to Leopold they do not have any production plan for blank Black Keycap set in the near future.
thank you.

I find it a little weird they decided to make navy blanks, but no black ones.

Was there most recent keyboard navy blue? That was the only thing I could think of, I was hoping for a blank black set as well.

Yeah, the 750r did have a more navyish color to it.  It also came in white, but there aren't any blanks available for that either.  I guess Leopold is big fan of navy blue!  :))

It seems like a no-brainer to me to offer blank blacks, unless they are trying to limit their SKUs for some reason. They already offer side-printed black, just skip sending them to the laser-etcher and throw them in a box with a different label on it.

I always found it comical how much of a 'struggle' it is for keycap makers to leave the legends off.  They act like they are creating an entirely new type of keycap.

I got mine in today.  I really like them so far.  My first PBT set and the spacebar fits the Leopold FC500R!  I was pretty sure it would, but I was still skeptical because no source I could find actually listed the FC500R as sharing the same stem placement as the FC660.

Those look very nice.

Why did you pick white?
Can they be easily seen in low light?

(swithing account since I don't like the name of that other one, I don't really use tht name anymore online)

I chose white because it matches my computer case, and I want to get a few of the novelty dye-subs sometime that come in white.  I also just like the black and white look.  I changed the LEDs in my mouse to be white as well, but I'm not sure if I am going to keep it that way since it just looks so much different.  I don't like typing in the dark, and you can see the keys reasonably well in teh dark, but you can't read the legends as easily (though that isn't really a problem since I'm sure most of us know where everything is on the keyboard).

This is what my setup looks like at the moment.

In the future I might buy a black set so I can change up the modifiers and the F-keys.  I have to stick to Cherry profile now, and I have no plans on mixing ABS into my PBT caps.

Really nice setup Dreamnipples, can't wait for mine to arrive!

It seems like the white side-printed caps have more visibility than the black ones, which is good if someone else uses the keyboard occasionally.

I've just replaced my old key set with this leopold key set on my Filco MJ 2. The problem is the keys with stabilizer sometimes stuck and give a sticky feeling when typing. It doesn't happen when I put my old key caps on again. I can't figure out what makes the difference, I already tried to lube the stabilizer but the problem's still there. Can anybody shed some light on it?

Same thing happened to me. It also changed the entire feeling of the switch, as if I had put o-rings on it. I think the caps are just too low and just too thick, so they don't really play nice. I unfortunately gave up and ended up using my set on another board.

Yes... the wire.
There are actually few posts on the subject around here.
On QFR (for example) these caps work just fine. Same for imstos.

I just ordered a set for myself.

Cheapish, and looking to replace my thin PBT front printed caps.

I wish they had more color options though. Would love a classic beige/gray combo

I think you'll really like them, they're fantastic quality for the price.  Only downside is you'll need a bit of patience for them to arrive since they're coming from Korea.

Looking to purchase a Filco MJ2 MX-brown onsale at NCIX and popping these key caps on. Reading through the posts, is there some compatibility issues with stabilizers?

if your board uses Costar stabilizers, you may need to file down the inside of the keycap for the left shift (and possibly the spacebar) to avoid scratchy action / sticking action.

My WASD CODE keyboard (which uses Costar stabs) hasn't had any trouble though. I guess mileage varies.

I just bought two sets of these. One white side printed set and a navy blank set. I want to combine them, use the blue for mods and f keys, and the white for my alpha numeric keys. Can't wait for them to come in!

This seller actually combined shipping for me... so I got two sets and only paid $18 to the US. Not bad!

The stabilizers sound much louder with these keys, on the Novatouch.

A quick potato:
Ducky Shine 3 TKL (MX Brown) | CM Rapid-i (MX Brown) | Realforce 87u 45g Uniform | CM Novatouch | Ducky Zero TKL (MX Brown) | Das Keyboard III (MX Blue)

Because the Novatouch stabs only play nice with higher profile key cap profiles (like OEM).
The roof of lower profile keycaps like cherry profile actually hit the plastic nubs at the top of the stabilizer.

A thick or fat o-ring will work as long as it is tall enough to provide enough clearance (the thin stock ones work on some key sets but aren't thick enough for others).

Thanks for the tip! I've tested the keys and the left shift was really clacking hard when depressed. The other stabilized keys only made noises when coming back up.
I prefer not using O rings, but the left shift was hitting the plastic nubs like you said. After putting a single O-ring on the left shift it sounded more like the other keys, with slightly reduced travel.

Picked my set up from the post office today since I was at work while  the mailman was making his runs.  Shipping arrival was definitely the minimum estimated delivery time for me. Ordered on Oct 16, arrived at customs on the Oct 26, attempted delivery on Oct 31. It was packed well.

Anyways, I bought the white side printed ones and I'm using it now on my Filco Majestouch 2 w/ MX Blues with no major issues.  The caps feel a bit tight on the keys with the stablizers but there isn't any rubbing or friction going on.  I did, however, had a problem with my left SHIFT key sticking so I just applied some pressure randomly around the keycap hoping it would fix itself and it did. Doesn't stick anymore and all the keys function normally now.  Keycaps feels great.

I'm also going to try them out on my KUL w/ MX Reds later tonight or tomorrow but I don't think there should be any issues seeing as the Cherry stabs are more friendly with this set.

Can anyone comment on how visible the legends are compared to for example the Ducky "gold" side-printed or the Leopold FC660M top printed ones that seem very similar to the Ducky prints? In some pictures they seem very bright white and less in some others. I'd actually prefer if they were fairly stealthy.
