is that the microsoft windows tribal tattoo?

You might be thinking of the Terminal Services Edition.  I've got one of those lying around here somewhere too!
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

That, my friend, is yet another reason to utilize the award-winning Windows 98 operating system. Or if you'd like to do it the easy way, you can use Windows XP as well--it even comes with MSIE6 pre-loaded.

Don't switch to Mac! They only go up to MSIE5. You'll be better off with Windows 98.

Well, those computers you posted there aren't even good enough to run Internet Explorer 6. So my trusty Compaq with Windows 98 is better than them and more capable.

I got Windows XP running on that "abomination" once. Don't be a hater, it's one hell of a machine. Just a bit outdated is all...

It surprisingly ran WinXP (a bit slow) without crashing AT ALL. 120MHz Pentium MMX, 80MB of RAM. 8GB hard disk.

Wait, your screen shot dated back to 2013. You don't have one running IE6 on Geekhack, do you?

Aha. Caught you with pants down.

If IE 6 is sooooo good, shouldn't the OP post showed GH running on IE 6? That would make it official. Sure, ms windows will give me a screenshot one hour later. That would just proof that he's not even using IE 6 NOW.. :P

You are typing your answer above on a browser. All you have to do is press PrintScreen NOW and upload the pix. The time stamp in GH will proof when you took the screenshot. Come on. Surely you are using IE 6 at this very moment...

Unless....... In reality you are using Chrome!!! Is that it? You are Chrome lover in a IE6 skin!!!!

Well, without a job, I won't be able to pay for all the electricity it costs for me to run my computers!
But Windows 98 should require a very small box to run. There is no need for 800W PSU. You can do it. Fight the repression at your workplace not not using Win 98. Do it, for Win 98 sake!

I'm the president. I don't need to fight repression, it's just my job to tell others to do that.

Sounds like you're on the right track. Although Windows 95 isn't too bad either--main problem is that it just isn't compatible with Internet Explorer 6 unfortunately. But Windows 98 is!

I'm holding out for 98 second edition. No confirmation on the release date but I've heard a few rumors

I think it's going to be released a little bit before the Y2K hits.
