Quick Recommendation
« on: Mon, 30 June 2014, 10:12:34 »
Maybe I am blind but I can't seem to find a dedicated thread for mice - specifically asking for suggestions (Maybe we should have one of those???). So I am making my own.

I'v been using Razer mice for years, currently a Mamba original. Unfortunately it's having too many issues to ignore so I am looking for a new mouse. The scroll wheel squeeks and sometimes spazzes up when scrolling down, the rubber piece on the side has fallen off, and the coating is beginning to rub off in places.

I'm looking for something larger that is for palm grip users. Right now I am thinking about one of the roccat mice - perhaps the kone pure. I'v heard good things about Zowie but they seem a little narrow for my tastes, and have had some QC issues in the past.

Maybe, I'm not sure if I am ready to jump on the trackball train. It might be ok for casual stuff, but I am not sure how it would work for first person shooters and other more action paced games. So for those it would be nice to have a good mouse.

Kone Pure Optical is definitely an option but it is on the smaller side of things - http://i1.ytimg.com/vi/CReVLZObOWk/maxresdefault.jpg
the Zowie EC1 eVo *is* good, but rumours say a 3310 sensor version of that one is coming out soon - and the scroll wheel honestly is a bit iffy on the current version.

Steelseries Rival is another option, I personally like it a lot but it's just too heavy for my tastes.
