The stabs are produced. We wait now for the GH60 GB to pay for their stabs.
It's epic, even people not part of the GH60 GB are waiting for the GH60  :p :-*

No, we are waiting on TJ to pay me at this point so I can pay to GMK.
I'm confused. They have already been produced and are just waiting for payments?

Cherry has millions of stabs in stock of course.

This is no keycap GB with custom designs or something, hence no production time for us ;)

Yeah GMK has probably pallets of stabs since they are a keyboard manufacturer also. Since the GH60 order was roughly about half of this I didn't have much choice on waiting on that. I've been told a few more days at the most so as soon as I get that paid I will make the wire to GMK and they will ship once it's cleared.

Am I the only one who would love to see pictures of pallets of keyboard parts!

Also love to see the manufacturing line for stabilizers to, we need to do a 'how its made' on keyboards.

Field trip to GMK in Germany time!! Honestly, I would love to see the place, not to mention travel to Europe. I've never been.

Nope, I too would love to see all the stabilizers.  How It's Made would be awesome, the videos I've seen on keycap lasering are so cool.

Watch any one of these videos and pretend they're bending stabilizer wires.  ;)

Sorry, hard to get a decent photo of black switch black PCB in big box. 3 smaller boxes of stabilizers and the little box inside the last box is nothing but tiny bolts for the PCB mount stabs... that I have to put in each damn one.

The first thing I thought of when I read Ivan's last post (all of those tiny bolts) is the tools that Pharmacists use to count pills: those small, raised trays with the trough running alongside it: that's exactly the sort of tool I'd like to have if I was sorting through material like this.

http://www.amazon.com/PILL-COUNTING-TRAY-23087-EACH/dp/B001V9NB28/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1411417048&sr=8-2&keywords=pharmacist%27s+sorting

Ivan, if you want one of these PM and I'll have one shipped to you straight from Amazon.

Tiny bolts?  Where do the tiny bolts go?  I am unfamiliar with tiny bolts on PCB-mount stabs.

Also, I am about to order bulk stabs from GON, so if you have cancellations or spares, I am happy to pay for them!

These are slightly different than the normal clip on PCB stabs most people are familiar with.

Right, bolts go through the PCB into the stab instead of the expansion clips.

Is it just me or do the bolt versions come without those springy-feet that I've clipped off of all my stabs?

All Cherry stabilizer sliders will have the little feet that "should" be clipped.

You are kidding right? Or are you just a troll?

This group buy hasn't been going on for 6 months (first post was almost 4 months), payment deadline was just 6 weeks ago.

Estimated delivery in the OP says October and he is working on shipping them now.

I hope people realize a group buy isn't like ordering from a store. You are joining with hundreds of other people to get a discount on something you probably wouldn't be able to buy otherwise.

And Ivan is awesome just for getting us the opportunity to buy these and dedicating his time for the cause.

I seem to be having an issue with my 6.25x plate mount stabs. They are the right length but the bend in the wire is rubbing and causing the stab to hang. With the bend facing upwards (how I received it) I can't even get the stab installed, if I flip the wire so the bend is facing downwards I can at least get it into the plate but then it sticks down well past the bottom of the switch and rubs against the PCB. Am I doing something wrong? I have essentially zero experience messing with Cherry stabs so if someone could drop some knowledge on me it would be much appreciated.

Here is a picture with the wire flipped from how I received it.

I think that's the wrong wire. Shouldn't the 6.25x wire be straight? That looks like the Costar wire.

Here's a picture of the wire from the GH60 GB thread:

Edit: Actually now I'm confused since I just found these pictures. The only reason why I said it's the wrong wire because on one of my boards, I couldn't get that bent wire to work with my plate mounted stabs and had to use the wire that was in the above image.

My PCB mount stabs have the bend in them as well and they look just like the pictures from the deskthority link. I was under the impression I needed the unbent wire for the plate mount stab though.

This is the only other picture of the plate mount stab I have access to at the moment. I've tried installing it every way possible, flipping the wire and flipping the orientation of the stabs and no matter which way I try it hangs. Is it a problem with my plate?

Well if you look at the Cherry stabs from qwer the wires for 6.25 is also bent. I haven't had any experience with those wires, but I have a corsair k65 that also uses cherry stabs and its wire is straight and thats plate mounted.

To my knowledge, PCB stabs have bent wires and those do not work with a plate, because of the rubbing.
Plate mount stabs should come with straight wire and work fine with a plate.
I guess Cherry meant the PCB stabs to be used only with PCB-mount switches. Sth like "If you have a plate use plate-mount stabs". ;D
You can easily bend your own stab wire from 1,5mm - 1,6mm stiff wire (piano wire) 100mm wide CtC, length of legs ~12mm IIRC.

If anyone has any extras I'm looking for (2) 2.x and (1) 7 PCB mounted.  Thanks in advance.
