this dac sounds freaking awesome, period.

the sound is incredible, and it does in fact output uncompressed 1080i/30 on the micro HDMI port. it's really close to the idea little concert and meeting recorder, but has some minor software issues if you try to use it in complex situations as a 720p usb webcam, which was a killer for us during keycon. comes with hilarious furry windsock and battery. can be usb powered. i really like this camera, but the key failures during keycon (did not play nice in open broadcaster with a window capture + zoom capture in the same stream) are forcing me to look for other solutions. asking 200

Nice 7970! I don't mean to overstep, but your price of $350 is a tad high. Parts forums dedicated to computer hardware typically have the 7970 and its rebranded cousin the 280x for about $180 for msi twin frozr or gigabyte windforce models, typically unmined. The very nice aftermarket cooler you mounted was $70 new when it was available. Not sure exactly how to value the backplate. Buyers should also be aware that it's a four slot cooler.

extremely well. you just turn the gain down on the camera and tune the levels so that you don't compress. there is a level meter on the heads up display that is very accurate.

Is the 280mm AIO the Kraken X60? I'm really tempted to go after it. Still trying to decide between that or an H100i, which I already have on hand.

yah it's the X60. i would suggest something i almost tried, which is to use the nzxt kraken g10 and the x60 on your video card with the h100i on the cpu and the radiators stacked. they're all asetek units, and all interoperable. in fact, you can use the h100i and the x60 with nzxt's CAM app to control everything with your smartphone. silly but cool

I have no idea where the build log is on ocn but I saw someone do something like this and they mounted a note2 in the 5 1/4 bays as a fan controller for the whole system. cyanogenmod + wifi.

That's actually what I was thinking of doing. At that point though I might as well go full shindig and water cool the whole thing. I have a ref cooler 290x right next to me though. Decisions, decisions.

Yep, custom loop is pretty much just to look pretty. Something like that X60 does at least 95% if not just as well for much less cost and effort.

i've found the x60 to be incredibly effective. i have a 6-core unlocked that runs at 4.6. there is a _lot_ of heat being pumped into that radiator at full blast, and the whole system basically works perfectly. i've had to change the fan curve like once, and only when it hit 100f ambient temp, it needed a little bit of a bump.

Thank god someone else picked up that 7970..I was tempted to replace my 6950 since it isn't powerful enough for 1440p on certain games but I've been spending a lot lately. 

Good luck with WC'ing.  I always loved how they look but its so damn expensive.
