NUUU! Cherry Stab pulled out!
« on: Tue, 29 July 2014, 16:28:30 »
So I was swapping key caps and as I was pulling the space bar out, the right side stab came out.
I am assuming it is pcb mounted since the plate is acrylic (I actually don't know if that matters).
Is there any saving it? Do I need to purchase replacements?
I tried popping it back in but the space bar would sit quite right.

So basically, once a pcb mounted stab is pulled out, is there a chance of making it sit right once again or does it need to be replaced?

PCB mount cherry stabs can be slid right back into place.

On a PCB mount stabiliser there's two stabiliser units and a wire. On each unit there are two clips. One needs to be sort of hooked into the hole, then once that's in you just press the other one in until you hear a click.

I'll use a previous owners pic in the meantime...

If you look at the pic, the right black plastic stab for the spacebar came off with the spacebar..
