so if there's no tracking number next to your name on the sheet, you're on the 2nd batch right?

did you even bother to go through the thread? it has been said multiple times already.

the second batch starts with analogblu

if there is no tracking next to your name BEFORE analogblu then it's because elton hasnt gotten it yet. holy **** it's not hard to figure out.

lol woops. Didn't bother reading the past posts. I just kept seeing "mine is arriving xxx" and got sad lol

Man, I give up trying to fix my PCB, might just be cheaper/less hassle to get a new one, since I don't want this alu case to go to waste.

I'm under the impression that the Nerd 60 PCB should be compatible with the Eagle case/plate, anyone know if this is for sure? I checked on GON's website and they do look like the have the same holes for the PCB/case.

Well, just as a warning, if you do winkeyless layout, the 3 keys on the bottom left (ctrl, win, alt) change orientation for LED, didn't notice that as I was just putting in all the LEDs. Just a result of me being careless and not double checking.

Ended up trying and failing to desolder the LED's with the worst possible desoldering pump, and ended up burning off the pads/traces due to frustration.

It actually did still work after those steps, but maybe it shorted after I cleaned it with alcohol or something? Not exactly sure, and currently I have no idea what to do with this. When it's plugged in, it says device is not recognized.

Hey dude, this could be a long shot but you might wanna try clipping all the LED legs off with a flush cutter. I noticed you left the legs pretty long and they could be shorting out by touching the case.

I don't see how having the leds in the wrong way or lifting a pad or two could stop the board from working, since the LED's are optional in the first place.

Might wanna try this before wasting the awesome duck PCB.

I have my lightsaver currently programmed with the 02d keymapper. Which version are you using?

I heard there was a bug with the current one on duck's website, so I just downloaded the most recent looking one I could find from KBDlab.kr.

Firstly, it may help to read this:
http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=53942.0

If that doesn't help, please feel free to ask questions. it can be a little hard to figure out at first, but once you've got it, it's pretty good.

I am using v1.3.240 I think, but I also have 1.3.244 and 1.4.288

Note that the above is for the lightsaver, but I think they work with viper/eagle as well. If not 02d is sure to add support for them soon.

The latest one from the official page (not Duck's page) supports the Eagle/Viper explicitly. That's not the problem, I was just trying to figure out what it can and can't do. The interface is terrible and the documentation is all in Korean (And seems to be organized poorly even so). I translated enough to get a general idea. But it doesn't look like the 02D firmware can do even half of what I want. So I'm setting up the TMK firmware on one of my dev VMs and I'm going to try building a suitable layout with that instead.

Unless you know how to get 02D to supply arbitrary HID scan codes that is (so I can support things like proper media keys).

I guess I could try that as my last shot. I just don't think that's the issue since it was working before.

That's unfortunate. I heard that the PCBs weren't very high quality and pads can lift easily when you desolder something.
Where did you read that? I think the PCBs are of excellent quality and have never had any issue desoldering. They are better than KMAC for sure.

I can't remember where I read it and I couldn't find it since the search engine gives me nothing on Duck PCB but it is great to hear the opposite for sure!

temporary till GMK DOLCH comes

also just re-iterating what ceflame said, the left ctrl, alt, win LED orientations are reversed compared to the rest of the board. i noticed they weren't turning on and couldn't figure it out until i reversed them. i used sip sockets so that didn't involve any desoldering. but i hope you do resolve your issue ceflame.

The Side LEDs are 3.5mm x 2.8mm in size (3528 or 1411 package size).  If you are changing the side LEDs, please note the orientation of the original LEDs before removing them: it's not symmetric!
All LED resistors appear to be 470 Ohm variety.

Maybe you can ask one of the nice folks around here to see what they can do to fix it.
You know, pay to ship it to them, or whatever, and see what happens.

Can't hurt to try.

He has already soldered all the LED's and upon trying to desolder three, has lifted the pads and now the board is no longer functioning. But I think the LED legs have been left too long and is shorting out with the case.

I forgot to mention that it doesn't work even when not in the case, so I don't think it's a matter of shorting out when touching the case, sadly

If you're ever up in the SF bay area there's a handful of us who can take a look at it. I don't have dedicated time right now to say you can ship it and I'll take a look. But if you were coming north for some other reason and I don't have anything planned for that time, I'll happily make some time to take a look.

I was not home yesterday so I had to pick it up today but the pickup slipleft on my mailbox yesterday had a tracking info.

I have some vintage Cherry stabilizers laying around, but there is no sense in not being patient now that the Dolch set will be shipping so soon.

I've updated all the 1st batch tracking on the spreadsheet except for Hoffman's order as they were waiting for the Light Pad's PCB.  Duck will have it by tomorrow and will be shipped right after.  Sorry to Hoffman and those in his  order.

I'm not taking any more payments for the acrylic inserts as I've already had them ordered and I will get them next week or so.
