Hey everyone, it's been a while.

Now that I've recovered from Keycon 2014, it's time for another meetup (before mkawa leaves the area).

August 30th 2014 @ 1 PM - Massdrop HQ
1235 Howard St. #D, San Francisco, CA 94103

The usual, food and drinks will be provided. I think Massdrop has a TV now (albeit not as big as keyboard.io's

), so I can make a presentation if there is interest. I can open up the floor for other presentations.
I'll try to bring some things that were not at Keycon (unless there are some requests).

I do know there were a lot more locals at Keycon than I usually see, perhaps someone can ping them so they know this is happening at the end of the month.

They don’t keep inventory, so you can only look at a small fraction of all their ****.

Labor Day weekend? Daaang Haata! In a week I'm starting to work in Long Beach but I want to come to Kiibohd, even if I'm 400 miles away. I'm almost certain I will make this happen.

This is important. A lot of advancements, formative steps, and relationships are/have been forming. I'd suggest everyone reach out to other GHers for this meeting (if not more monthly meetings).

Throw it "out there" and ask in thread with location to see about carpooling. Driving can be pricey. My cost per mile running a full size truck at 15-s8mpg is relatively high, so I know.

BART -> Caltrain would get you to California Ave station, and Massdrop is about a 30 minute walk from there. I will know by this afternoon if I will be going (~65% chance) and if I do I can give three people a ride from the Millbrae BART station.

Edit: Apparently I am totally wrong about where massdrop is located.

Wait, what? I think the MassDrop HQ we’re going to is in the middle of SoMa in SF. Nowhere near Palo Alto.

I'm bringing two of my Kinesis Advantages - the one with the trackpoint mod and the one with a humblehacker controller (since Input Nirvana asked nicely). If anyone is interested I'd be happy to open the them up so that people can see the guts and make fun of my soldering.

Leaving the meet up I found how generous San Franciscans really are...some indivudal politely left a random laser printer cartridge in the the back of my truck. I DIDN'T EVEN NEED TO ASK! A total freebie from the city. Wow. In the spirit of paying it forward, PM me if you'd like to have this most excellent laser printer cartridge. So awesome.

And yea, I know my camera phone is damaged and sucks, and yea, I'll be getting a new one in a month when Apple releases it, and yea, thanks fer ask'in.
