Pictures can be found in this link thanks to tjcaustin. So I've been talking about organizing another meetup this year. Originally I was thinking of having it in Chicago but this opportunity pretty much fell into my lap thanks to mashby's incredible organizational skills. We've also been in touch with 00zerO and the fellas at MechanicalKeyboards.com. I will continue refining the plan with MK.com and mashby since it's the two of them who will be hosting us essentially. Read more for details.
Who wants to visit the MechanicalKeyboards.com storefront and enjoy a day of keyboards, friends, and great food in the Nashville area?Mashby and I went last year and it was a good time so we were hoping that this year we could return with a bigger contingent of Geekhackers!
We're going to set this up for
9/20/14. It works out for mashby and 00zerO, the two people who are hosting us. That date seems to work for a lot of people as well.

The tentative plan is for this to be in late September or early October on a weekend. Some weekends that would work for mashby, MK.com, and myself. I prefer a Saturday meetup. This is subject to change of course depending on who is available and who from GH is interested in coming out:
9/20/14
9/27/14
10/4/14
Tentative Schedule/Agenda for the dayMashby put together a revised agenda/overview below. Please give me your feedback and let me know what you think.
Overview:The meetup will kick off at 9am at Center 615, which is a collaborative office space located in East Nashville. We'll hang out for a bit, have lunch and then drive out to
Mechanical Keyboards Showroom for a tour and a deep dive into their huge selection of keyboards. When we're done, we'll head back to East Nashville for some local ice cream at the
The Pied Piper Creamery. For those who are not ready to call it a night, there'll be an after party were we can continue to hang out and check out some local eats and sights.
Date: | Saturday, September 20th |
Time: | 9am - 5pm-ish then After Party |
Location: | Center 615, 615 Main Street, Nashville, TN 37206. (Map) (See Inside!) THERE IS PARKING ON EITHER SIDE OF THE BUILDING. The entrance is facing the street but you need to be buzzed in! |
Agenda:09:00am | Meet Up at Center 615, hang out and check out all the keyboards everyone brought. Coffee from Sky Blue Cafe will be provided. At the end, there'll be a drawing for a GHPad! For those taking the tour to MK.com, we'll lock up your keyboards in mashby's office so they'll stay safe-and-sound. |
12:00pm | Lunch at The Pharmacy, Nashville's "Wurst-Burger" Joint (map) |
12:45pm | Drive to Mechanical Keyboards Showroom |
01:15pm | Tour MechanicalKeyboards.com (map) and hang out with the MK.com guys like 00zerO and talk keyboards. Frolic in their keyboard showroom/warehouse and admire their PowerWheels. |

05:00pm | Treat yourself to some locally, homemade ice cream at The Pied Piper Creamery (map). Afterwards, we'll head back to Center 615 for everyone to pickup their cars and keyboards. |
06:00pm | After Party for those that are interested. We can head to downtown Nashville to take in the sites and check out some great live music. Options include: Third Man Records (map), Tootsie's Orchid Lounge (map), Robert's Western World (map), or The Station Inn (map), just to name a few. There's plenty of food downtown, such as Jacks as well as many others. Or perhaps we'll hit up the Pinewood Social. It'll be laid back and we'll take a pulse on what everyone is up for before we head downtown. |
Some of us are planning on staying overnight. If you are planning on staying, please let me know. I've got a hotel lined up and we're
probably getting breakfast at Monell's in the morning.
Please, fill out the attendance form if you plan on attending. From this post.
