I just need to figure out which keycaps I will want to be using for the bottom right 1.25 keys on my JD40 since I'll be mapping them to \| and `~ instead of modifiers

DCS/SA/DSA

Is the blue ISO enter still DCS like the round 1 was?

yes, there's no DSA ISO enter.

Doest that mean the regular ISO enter is DCS aswell ?

Enjoy!

http://www.pimpmykeyboard.com/deals/granite-bonus-pack/

Great!

I ordered 3 to kick it off, I think this will easily tip  :thumb:

It only requires 25 to tip. This definitely won't be a problem. I'm hoping to see it hit the big discounts xD

sorry guys for the long silence.

I might have found a distributor, the problem is that I hardly see this selling more than 25 items per kit, making this an expensive toy project. I believe the best way to handle this is through PMK website.

If there's still interest I'll push the kits on SP's website.

2/3 tipped after less than 2 hours.
You're good at underestimating the interest in your keysets  :p

The Blue enter is going to make a whole world of difference to the look of the keyboard!

We do kinda have to wait for it to tip first but fingers crossed ;)

Shipping to Australia is nearly $20 for novelty+icon! More expensive than what they've previously charged for a full keyset to be shipped. Hopefully a mistake. Going to see if they can combine the shipping with another order I am waiting on.

Otherwise, any suggestions? Would any other other Aussies be interested in combining orders? The shipping cost doesn't seem to increase no matter how much I increase the quantity of the kits in my cart.

Edit:
Melissa won't combine the shipping with my other order due to the high likelihood of making a mistake, but she did say:

Quote
Jess-
Unfortunately we have to add individual shipping to each of the small
Granite orders (9.75 each) - we can refund this though when the group buy
ends...

So not too bad then :)

Hi Guys,
I have a very basic - n00b question. I am owing a Filco Majestouch2 105 keyboard and I ordered the granite set from round 2:
common kit,
text modifier,
numpad,
iso enter,
internation DE package,

Now my question is will I be able to use this granite set on my Filco as spacebar, shift, backspace has these little metal stabilizer (Costar) ?
Tour de kübord - Germany Layout:
Original IBM model M (too loud) -> rubber dome IBM Rapid Access II (mediocre) -> Cherry STREAM XT scissor switch (somewhat OK) -> G80 with clear (too hard for me) -> Zowie Celeritas with brown (good but dirty)-> Filco Majestouch 2 Brown (great) -> CM NovaTouch + Filco Doubleshots (best)

Yes.  You will have to transfer the stabilizer clips from the stock keys to the Granite ones.  With DSA keys it's possible you will have to use a little piece of tape/saran wrap to get the clips to fit snugly.

Thanks for your answer.
So is my interpretation right?

This little white bolts have to much play in the new caps stem so I have to stuff the hole a bit? Is that how it works? (why not glue?)

Yes, you might have to stuff the hole a bit.  Try it without any stuffing first.  Glue works, but you generally want to be able to take them out so that you can still use the caps on a keyboard with Cherry stabilizers.

Yes!
Model M Industrial, SSK, Unicomp 104, Code TKL MX Green, FC660M MX Green + Clear + White + Grey, FC660C Topre 45g, MagicForce 68 USB and Bluetooth, Whitefox, some optical switch 65% Bluetooth split spacebar thing ... wait, I think I need an intervention. Too late, there’s a couple of new Model Fs on the way.
Too much SA is never enough.

The reason you don't use glue is so that you can use the caps again later on a different keyboard. :)

Round 2 Granite, perfect.  I hope SP has finally redesigned their PBT's to eliminate any distortions, because the First Round was perfect BUT for the distortions.

I shall buy up big in this Second Round, because we need to support our Geekhack Artist here - the man we lovingly know as Matt3o  ;) .

yep.. already bought in on those.  I was just mentioning additional ideas.  Recently, I was looking to get some WoW key caps, but there were no US source.  The one ebay seller I found was in Malaysia.  I was thinking about putting together a set submission with some of these key caps.

I don't want to read 30 plus pages but did SP give you a Demo set for you to inspect? I got over $120 in the GB so i wana make sure this will be a better product then R1.

just to clarify, I have $600 worth of r1 and none of it is terrible warped or off center. only one of the mold was misaligned and i believe it happened part way during production
