Im going to purchase the granite set v2, i'd like to know if its possible to use it with this keyboard plz ?
Just be aware of that 1.75u right shift. You'll need the Pro Modifiers Pack for that key.

Yea the granite v2 set should work fine, any dsa profile keycap set will look fine with this board's layout options. :thumb:
Thank you mates :thumb:

Still trying to get things work with Massdrop. But I don't know for sure yet. They need a sample first before doing the group buy, but we won't be able to get a sample until the next round of production is done in at least 1-2 months. If they can't do the group buy without a sample, I will consider running a GB here on GH for the first round.

Still interested in this board no matter which route you choose to run the group buy through  :thumb:

Not sure if it helps the cause for round 1, but I have started a poll on MD to help gather votes to promote the keyboard on MD, and help them realise how awesome this keyboard is, and that they need to make it work!

If you need any help I'm sure you could find some good folks to help too. Interest is peeked now, two months and I can't even say I would buy one then.

I'd love to try and get this pushed out in the next month.

Hey feng, if this keyboard is successful would you ever consider making a numpad with hot swappable capabilities?

Omg, that answers many questions! Thanks for the link!

Much excitement! Which colour... Black, Grey, and silver. That grey looks sooo good, but then on a white keyset, a silver case would look great! Black I thought was the safest choice, but that grey looks amazeballs :blank:

Just get all 3! I mean the switches and LEDs are able to be changed whenever you want, why shouldn't the case be aswell?  :))

Hahahaha... I think I am already mentally preparing to buy all three....

Interesting to note - MicroUSB - I will need to be getting more cables or change it to miniUSB, but I think the pads are not compatible?
Also trying to work out what the round hole in the case is, under the space bar. Access to the PCB for something...

A BIG question that remains unanswered, is - Can the FN be re-programmed to any other key?

And will there be a different bottom row layout options?

I personally would Love to see the following, but I would imagine that there would not be much demand for it. As a OSX user, the following wolud be nice...

1-1-1-1.25-6.25-1-1-1-1-1

I don't know if this was answered, but...

Can the 2x backspace be eliminated completely? In the corner, instead of [2x, 1x] or [1x, 2x], can it be setup as [1x, 1x, 1x]?

Before I found this site I had the urge for a keyboard where you could change out the switches without soldiering. Its like you knew exactly what I was looking for before I knew I wanted it.

Voted for on Massdrop, and would happily sacrifice $300 for it.

I love this concept and I voted for it on Massdrop, but if a group buy happens soon-ish (the next couple of months or so) it's going to be out of my reach budget-wise. I'd be all in for a second round a little later on though, for sure.

Hot swappable LEDs, but I wonder how the current to the LED is managed. In a conventional voltage controlled output we need different resistors for different voltage drop LEDs otherwise brightness will not be appropriately matched.

For a given resistance, a red LED will be over drive, while a white one might be very dim if it lights up at all. Unless it has a constant current drive, or a swappable resistor too.

I'm just speculating here too, lets see how it pans out when it happens :)

A video has already been released showing the hot swappable leds in action.

ooh.. thats promising! we don't see the leds being swapped between positions, but hey, I would love if it was that simple  :thumb:

And that double LED thing is cool! great for number row backlit keys.

AFAIK, MD limitations are based on their need for working sample. As this board hasn't reached manufacturing yet, a sample was not possible according to feng, therefore its of higher likelihood that the first run is not going to be MD.

We just need to wait for news about where this is going. Either way… theres going to need to be a lot of money ready

After seeing this thread (which is really cool, seems like an old concept of this), I wonder: will this be Micro or Mini USB? I have a feeling most of us prefer Mini, but if Micro USB makes production easier, I guess it makes sense.

According to Andrew from MD, who posted yesterday in the Smart68 poll, they are working on getting the Group Buy up "soon". They are still waiting on a working sample to be sent in.

See the discussion here --> https://www.massdrop.com/vote/compact-60-ish-sized-with-discreet-arrow-keys

Sounds promising that this will happen in the near future.

The hype is real!

I hope everyone that voted is aware that this is essentially a keyboard "kit" and doesn't come with switches or keycaps. I know everyone from here would know, but wondering if all votes reflect that.

That's a good point. It would suck for them if someone if they didn't realize the Dolch doesn't come with it...
