Still scrubbin it up... TKL Keycaps

So... Been looking around at keycaps. Rewind's zinc keycaps really catch my fancy, but unfortunately he has not contacted me or replied to my inquries at purchase. So, what keycaps should I get? As I mentioned in my last thread, I'm planning to get the GON NerD TKL, and (dumbly enough in anticipation for those zinc keycaps ) I got it in black, with red led's. So what keycaps (if Rewind doesn't sell to me) should I go for? Does anyone have suggestions? I'm open to all kinds of caps

granite! round 2 is just around the corner and i think they're the nicest-looking keycaps around.

Honestly, I think you should just poke around, see what looks nice, and give it a shot for now.  There's so many different caps and profiles and materials that you might end up with something you hate or something you love. 

Some people love PBT caps, some swear by doubleshot ABS.  Some drool over SA profile while others can't stand typing on 'em. 

Asking what keycaps you should get is just such a broad question.  You're going to wind up with answers all over the place.

if i see another GON with DSA i will personally send you a set of QFR keycaps because even that looks better

What's wrong with DSA on a GON? I've seen several including DSA Dolch, Granite, WYSE and they've all looked great.  Some people simply like the profile.

actually the skinny boards were OK with it

it feels like getting a new ferrari and then getting it in black to help the resale value, in other words it's ultra lame

First choose your profile and material, then colour. It's no good getting a great board that looks nice, but you don't like how it feels to type on.

That said, without knowing what profile or material you like, it's fine to get any decent set and figure out a bit more from that what you like or don't like about it, then apply that knowledge to the next keyset purchase. Because you know there will be more   



And any of the really good sets will be snapped up quickly if you decide to sell it again later, so it's not a big loss.

Now you're just making me laugh. 75% has a lot going for it. Dedicated FN keys, arrows keys, home keys, but a more compact package than TKL. Don't see how you could not like that.

75% is my preferred layout.
I'll say that DSA on a Gon isn't my thing, but if DSA is your favorite to type on then GO FOR IT!
Board looks sick.
I'd recommend grabbing a blue or gray set from imsto.
