New-ish member with a question
« on: Fri, 22 August 2014, 19:49:25 »
Hello GeekHack!
I'm interested in building a 60% keyboard, and as far as I understand it, my main options are either the GH60, or the [CTRL]60 with the NerD 60 PCB in it.
The end result as shown by the OP here seems very appealing, I absolutely love the case and the keycap set, but does it have the same capabilities as the GH60 with a teensy on board? Should I perhaps post this directly in the GB thread?

Thanks!

Welcome to Geekhack!

Specific questions about keyboards should probably be posted in the respective thread - not everyone checks the New Members section :p
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Either this thread should be moved to the "keyboards" section or you should make a new thread there.
BTW, welcome to GeekHack! We always accept new members!  :thumb:
