Postal scale recommendations

I was wondering if anybody here has any recommendations on postal scales. I need one for weighing packages, now that my roommate has moved away and taken her kitchen scale with her.

Something that probably can handle weighing typewriters (25-30 lbs).  A light search of Ebay turns up Accutech and Saga, which seem ridiculously dirt cheap for 50lb weight capacity, but I have my concerns about dirt cheap brands, as always.

Anybody know anything about these things?

I've used a dirt cheap ebay on for the last 10 yrs.  I say pick one up that goes up to 75lbs.   Sometimes I ship items that weigh over 25-30 lbs.

Tried that.  Not accurate enough.

Yeah, I have a dirt cheap one from eBay (to 85 Lbs, uses a strain gauge). It's always the same weight the USPS give, to within 1 oz, but I always still overestimate the weight by 1 oz just in case.

I got a scale off EBay, but a different one than I originally envisioned.  because I have a fascination with mechanical rather than electronic, I opted for a used Polouze 50lb X 2oz mechanical scale. Not exactly the most accurate, but No worries about batteries!

Sweet! Can't beat mechanical. I hope it has the precision you need.

My scale is powered by batteries or alternatively is powered via USB so I don't worry about batteries either.

Thanks for helping me narrowing down a specific scale to purchase. Was in dire need of a precision digital scale but stymied by the overwhelming number of options available on ebay.
