Greetings and Salutations!
« on: Tue, 26 August 2014, 21:44:32 »
*a loud clanging is heard, followed by a few muttered curses and slight exclamations of pain*

*muttering*...gotta remember to put away the Electrocoil Disintegrator...Oh! Well, well... I see we have a new arrival! Welcome to my laboratory! Mind your step and watch out for the Tesla Coils...

I am quite happy to be here, as I am a new arrival to the world of mechanical keyboards. I was forced to switch to one after watching that accursed rubberdome go up in flames (along with my eyebrows and my previous assistant... which reminds me, I am in need of a new assistant. The hours are long and the pay is in all-you-can-eat Haribo Sugar Free Gummi Bears, but you get to do SCIENCE! Anyone interested in the job should contact me post-haste).

Anyway, a little about me:

I am a computer geek and a hopeless romantic. I like sunsets, long walks on the beach, and any kind of potentially destructive, yet fun experiments.

I also have a tendency to talk to myself because, honestly, I am the funniest person I know.

You're not that funny.

Screw you, I'm hilarious! Anyway, thanks for having me, and I hope to see you around!

*shuffles off into the back of the laboratory. Suddenly a clanging and smashing sound is heard, followed by a loud thud.*

I have GOT to put that Electrocoil Disintegrator away!

Welcome to Geekhack!

You have a sense of humour - good, you'll need it around here :p
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
