Recently Replaced a Switch

So recently I replaced one of my Cherry MX Black switches on my A since I broke it but with the new switch when I press on it from the very left corner it gives off a weird feeling as if it its rubbing on the edge of something

The A is not at the edge of the keyboard, so it's probably not the keycap rubbing against the edge of the case.

By the way, is this with the keycap on or off?

If on, please (carefully) remove the keycap and see how the switch feels without.  Compare it to a couple of other adjacent switches.

It is possibly just something simple like the switch is slightly misaligned (especially if it is plate-mounted) and the keycap is rubbing against an adjacent keycap).

Its with both the on and off

Now I think about it it doesnt feel the same as my other keys.

It doesnt travel smoothly as my other keys no matter how I press it

Might be a defective switch.

Or maybe the legs were overheated, which slightly melted and/or distorted the base of the switch.

Is it feasible for you to try a different switch?

It was from like Ebay for like $3 for just 1 switch since I have no idea where to buy switches
