Paid, I could have bought pizza and beer with that money. Don't disappoint me.

I'm not sure these caps will be capable of satiating your pizza and beer pleasure centers, but I'll do my best to make sure they're tasty.  ;D

I'm a little surprised how few people have ordered, considering hype around these recent SA GBs.

Still, the system is working, there is a tick next to my name in the list.  More warm fuzzy feelings :)

Next up will be the "shipped" column ;D

Yes!! There will be widespread regret once the pictures of these start appearing.

Nah, not too worried, just adding the obligatory "paid" post in case he was going off of the forum instead of email receipts from paypal.

Just got back into town and saw your Paypal invoice, which has just been paid in full  :thumb: .

Sorry for not paying any sooner, was way off site in the desert and only had the company's ancient Nokia to communicate with head office (I know it's no excuse but delayed payments can happen in my world too).

Hope everything is up to date with my order situation.......... ?

No.  I'll just forget I ordered anything until I get a mysterious email from "Customer Service" about a package.  :D

That's the best sort of surprise.

The order has been placed with SP and payment sent. Melissa indicated that production time is now running 8 weeks out, which is a bit disappointing, but if we are really lucky, maybe we can have these by Christmas  :thumb:.

Thanks to everyone who placed orders and made this successful.

Thank you for the update.

Given the number of GBs going through PMK recently, plus considering their usual non-GH business, this is not really surprising!

That's how it goes when people discover the Perfect Profile from SP  8)

Although I still love the original Cherry Profs especially when it comes to BSP and GMK production, but they're still small orders and very few of them make their way into full-scale production.

I received an update from SP. They estimate production will be complete on Dec 30.  So you won't have them for X-Mas, but they will most probably be the first set you receive in 2015.

Please read the entire message:

Today I received all the Rad Hard keycaps from SP. They look great, but there is a problem. SP made a mistake with the Yellow color. Instead of using the YCE color, YY was used.  As a result we have a choice to make. We can either accept these caps, or request that SP re-run them with the proper color.

Here is a comparison of the two colors:

86790-0

Here are a few photos of a few of thecaps with a few of the Nuclear Data Green caps. I am a terrible photographer and my camera stinks, but I did my best.
Direct winter sun (high angle)
86792-1

Indirect sunlight (no artificial light)
86794-2

Personally, I think they look pretty nice and the slightly darker color may actually go better with the Green, giving it more of a vintage look. But I can understand if you may prefer the brighter yellow.

Tell me what you think.

Here is form to poll peoples opinion:

Did the red come out ok?

Reds are fine. Here is a picture of all kits.

I dunno, it still looks pretty good to me.  The yellow is sufficiently pale on its own, I'd almost say ship them out and let's be done with it.

It amazes me how incredibly poor SP's Quality Control is.  It must be costing them a fortune to fix all these errors in every group buy.  They're quick about it (a testament to their outstanding customer service) but it definitely shouldn't be this frequent.  I dunno, maybe making key caps is much, much harder than I imagine.

Perhaps they are making so much money it isn't a big deal?  :o

Maybe so.  I have no idea how the OEM/commercial side of their business is doing.  PMK could be (and likely is) just a side project.  /shrug

I think I actually prefer the darker yellow :D Very happy with how they look.
Buying more keycaps,
it really hacks my wallet,
but I must have them.

Here are a few photos of a few of thecaps with a few of the Nuclear Data Green caps. I am a terrible photographer and my camera stinks, but I did my best.

Indirect sunlight (no artificial light)

Personally, I think they look pretty nice and the slightly darker color may actually go better with the Green, giving it more of a vintage look. But I can understand if you may prefer the brighter yellow.

Tell me what you think.

Here is form to poll peoples opinion:

Wait...stop the presses...should my Out of the Vault Rad Hard set tip, it may be off depending on this choice, unless I can tell them to choose the color to match...something must be done...(still...I do like the YY, but that is a personal bias because of how lovely it matches the YY in the Vaultdweller Vault 13, and 101 legends)

I think the color is fine. Submitted the response in the poll.....

I posted as the previous post was going up- it may be an issue for sum if the color of one of the set can't change...

Considering this was their goof, I would be surprised if they did not allow a change to your set to match.
