Radioactive keycap :)
« on: Sun, 21 September 2014, 05:45:02 »
VERY VERY prototypy

it still misses the finishing layer that makes it glossy

but it glows in the dark and it is backlight compatible :)

it's a pretty complex keycap, very hard to mass produce if not 3d printed, but I haven't given up on it :)

Would the glow-in-the-dark effect disturb any backlight besides white and its natural color?

It'd be cool if the glow and backlight mixed to create different colors.

no, when not-glowing the keycap is just "frosted" white

When it is glowing, I mean. Combined with a clashing backlight, what effect does it create, if any?

Looks cool, would love to see how they turn out because they look kinda basic to me. Would love some design on the outside of the cap and not just print
