What LEDs do you guys use?
« on: Tue, 21 October 2014, 12:24:23 »
I blew all my LEDs from my ducky and I'm in need of new ones, I had white LEDs with a VF range of  3.0~3.2V. I need a replacement that's non-flanged white 3mm, but am wondering what LEDs you guys use, as most are just, well, **** these days. So its an led reccomendation/discussion thread.

I think you have another problem, one does not simply blow every LED on a keyboard.

a bad USB hub, everything else works fine, even the toggleable LEDs which don't turn on when you plug the keyboard in, only all the others.

The LEDs could be fine and a current source is blown. Do you have a multimeter to test them?

This is what I was gonna say

the chip is probably what's dead, not the LEDs

Yeah, LED driver chip or transistor, depending on how they set up their circuit.

That said, it could be that all the LEDs are indeed blown. I buy LEDs from eBay (IC touch and colourfulplace), China, or the below source (if I need 'em quick)
