[IC] GMK Klaxon

It's time for me to start planning the return of the legend.  Klaxon with GMK plastics. But I'm worried about two things, one of which being will there be 250 people interested in white on red or red on white?  I'll be running a unified set similar to red alert v2 where it has white on red mods and red on white alphas in a similar key set as to what succeeded with GMK dolch (with the addition of 1 more 2.25x shift). Depending on opinion, I might add a white on red alpha add on.

They will be cherry standard legends.  I put my klaxon set on my fc today and was unhappy with the feel and wyse font.  It's time klaxon is part of the current generation of cap stuffs.

I get what you're saying now.  Yeah, dunno.  I like both symbol mods and alpha mods, so I'll let the group decide that.

Monday, I'll email gmk for a quote with win logos for the super keys.  The reason I'm just locking down to the red alert v2 colorway is because it's by far the most popular and I feel the easiest to get 250 for.  That being said, instead of doing just the inverse alphas, I could throw up a full inverse set as an option with the understanding that I won't let it stagnate if it doesn't match numbers.  Thinking more, I'll just throw both colorways up and add extra mod packs for those than want ANSI word mods instead of symbols.  Won't hurt to see how popular they are, too.

So to tl;dr:
1. WoR mods/RoW alphas with symbol mods, both color ~ and \| keys and win super
2. RoW mods/WoR alphas with symbol mods, both color ~ and \| keys and win super
3. WoR ANSI mods (with words)

For the Dolch group buy in Korea, they managed to get WoB full set produced together with Dolch, even though WoB set does not meet MOQ. I wonder if something similar can be worked out for this group buy so that we could have inverse alpha or mod without worrying about MOQ.

Can I suggest for 4 blank windowed caps perhaps 2 in red and 2 in white for R1 x1 size to be added to the set?, there are a lot of full keyboards that don't have the LED above the number pad and instead there are 4 additional keys.

I gave the same idea to Ivan for his next GB to include them to the basic set, what ya guys think?

Also my vote goes to text mods. I'm not a big fan of the symbols. Especially the caps lock handbag.

Please people, make this happen. And remember that sometimes you can't always get what you want, GMK sets always need to drop extra keys to keep the price down.

I would like to propose keeping the number of individual kits to a minimum as well, add ons like WASD or enter keys are cool but you really need to do the full set as the main pack otherwise the fragmentation of sets hurts your ability to meet MOQ.

TJ all you have to mention are those three famous letters "GMK" and I'm in  .

Don't really care what the colours look like as long as it's coming out of authentic German Cherry Molds.  Heaven on earth when it comes to getting REAL Cherry keys.

Do you have more information about that? Like what sort of numbers did they have for the WoB?

GMK sets everywhere  going to enjoy the upcoming influx of GMK sets. stark contrast to when i joined, there were only 3 sets produced then.

same color scheme, but Cherry legends instead of Wyse, Cherry profile instead of DCS (though the differences are minimal), and thick GMK ABS plastic vs thin SP plastic

I feel the caps would be appealing in the end, simply due to the colour scheme, no doubt. Might even pick up a set.

I just can't get enough of icon modifiers, it's just so clean and adds a lot to the colour

I think we should just do a poll for things like W7 vs W8 logos and text vs icon mods and then just go with the majority. I honestly couldn't care less so long as we get this set made.
