HEFI Diagnostics At Startup- How To Turn Off?

does anybody know how to turn off or disable the UEFI diagnostics at windows startup?

i don't know what i did, but on startup now i have to go through that on my HP Envy Windows 8 machine.........driving me crazy and i cannot find how to turn off?

It's likely you either triggered it from some kind of HP software (assistance, recovery something like that) that's bundled with your computer and you should just turn it off through that OR you have a UEFI bootable device that you forgot about and is still plugged in.

It might also be a setting in your BIOS if it's been heavily customized by HP.

i went into the bios afterwards, but still no dice getting rid of it.

something about it is some kind of default for windows 8?

it is about to drive me nuts.........i know there is some way to get rid of it, but i have not figured out yet :-\

if you didn't go into the bios to CAUSE IT..  then it must be a windows 8 thing.. I've never seen it on Win 7

Maybe it's an HP thing?  HP website says to press f2 to go enter UEFI diagnostics..  If you haven't touched the BIOS, maybe your f2 key is stuck?  :blank:
