FWIW, these come up all the time. Like 10 have sold for <$40 on ebay in the last 3 months.

They do, but most of them tend to be in the $40-60 + shipping range.  When you see one at potentially $30 shipped and definitely $50 shipped, it's a good to okay deal, depending on the price.

This reminds me that I need to get mine working. If anyone gets this and wants an extra switch or two to change the lock switch to a normal one, I've got some spares from the second board that I bought.

how does it feel?

Feels somewhat similar to an MX black except heavier, and a bit smoother (but not nearly as smooth as lubed blacks). I think the total travel distance might be shorter than MX (maybe 3.5mm like complicated alps?) but I'm not totally sure. It's also ridiculously loud )
