There's one exactly like mine selling for $100.

Except I had to order a cord (9-foot since there were none on ebay at the time, and they were the only ones left that brandon had) since my school kindly lost the black AT cable. That's what you get for getting free things I guess :mmph:

And then there's this one for substantially less money on the initial bid anyway:

It's a year older! Brandon says the older ones are higher quality; you can trust him right? RIGHT?!?

Okay, so Brian ONeil is "rarekeyboardstore" on ebay.  And Brandon is "clickykeyboards.com" right??

I want one just for the black coiled AT style cable.  But they appear to pop up on ebay quite often.   Just bought one from here:

Also, buckling springs have a force rating of 30-45g... Or at least they used to until someone emailed him about it.

Correct. And the owner of elitekeyboards is also called Brian. Now, if only Ms Keyboard was called either Brianna or Brandine to complete the cycle...

You made a pun whether you realize it or not. Yes, very nice cases.

No.  He used to say IBM had double shot keys and still calls the Space Saving "Space Saver".   Plus it's amazing how Vintage Keyboard Resellers like the older rarer ones that sell for more money.  Certain lack of intellectual rigor going on here.

Well Brandon needs to get his money from SOMEWHERE!
Does anyone know where he gets all of his keyboards from?
Someone who stacks model Ms on their driveways must be getting their source from somewhere:

Brian & Brand, they're really both the same.

It would be pretty logical to assume that there's only so many 10-30 year old good IBM keyboards out there in the wild.

Especially in the wild they are very rare.

Less rare than you'd think...

There's still plenty of Model M's in use. There's about 10 in my public library (The librarians replaced everything but the keyboards--Gee I wonder why?), some at the supermarket, a couple terminal emulators at the farm equipment place, and I got an M5-2 from work.

You all just have to look in the right place to find the Model M's.

I should ask the libraries around here if they have any old model Ms; that's a really good idea!

Schools are another great place. If you work at a school, try and get access to the IT area and ask for any big old keyboards they've got.
