My Filco MJ2 tenkeyless in Ripster's Anti-Otaku mode with the RGB kit and an out of place ninja caps lock (still deciding if I'm going to use the yellow on this one)

Only if everyone agrees that .018" is closer to actual cherry than .02". Or if everyone likes the look of .018" better than .02". So you're saying that they don't even have a metric cutter between .018" and .02"? Afterall cherry is based in Germany so they would use a metric cutter right?

There's also the money issue to consider.  We have legends that look really good.  For me it is probably not worth spending the money to experiment further.

I don't think SP has metric cutters at all.  Down with powers of ten!

I'm almost sure they just used a 0.015" cutter for these.  I refuse to believe that the 0.018" wouldn't actually be a little too much.  Given the type of responses I've gotten from Melissa (~"You won't even notice the difference"), it seems very likely.

At some point I'll have to check this theory out with some overlays.

I can take some comparison pictures with the Esc prototype as well, which was 0.015.  Now I just have to find the Esc prototype...

Maybe I can take some macro shots.  I have RGB keys from last 2 rounds.  What shots do you need?

Just a side-by-side shot of the prototype and the finalized escape will be enough for now

Specifically: the supposed 0.018" cutter next to a 0.015" (preferrably both escape keys)  Thanks for the enthusiam though litster!

Talking about Moogle III, as you know KBC is now making Cherry profiled pbt dye subs
(http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?25897-here-we-are-thick-dyesub-group).
I wonder if they would print costum legends? That could make a suitable Moogle kit for Cherry dye subs.

Got my order like 2 days ago! They look great, and I can see what you mean hashbaz that yellow diamond key looks a lot more off then .5mm

Either way I love how the colours turned out, the yellow could be a little richer and less bright but I think we got the RGB colours down :)

I sent out most of the Canadian orders on the 16th.  Yours however is waiting for the replacement ISO shifts which should arrive this week.

Here are some mediocre images of the new ISO shifts.  As you can see they are aligned to match the right shift rather than the authentic Cherry textless left shift.  I'm not sure if the two Cherry shifts in the left-hand image are from the same set or not ... are they supposed to be that different from each other?

Looks good to me! :D Those two black shifts are probably from two different sets or the right one is kind of defective (too bold).

The boldness on the right one is actually the correct boldness for a cherry shift arrow. The left one is the one that is less bold than normal for a cherry shift arrow. The left one looks to be the thickness of my black moogle 2 right shift arrow, which was way less bold compared to my vintage cherry shifts.

Another fun fact: Cherry has "4" different doubleshot slashes! There should only be 2 - "/" and "\". But there are 2 variations of each. I have at least one or more of each of the 4 keys. The slash on "/?" is different than the numpad "/", and the slash and pipe on "\|" is different on the ANSI an ISO versions.

I did notice a difference in the font boldness between my WYSE sets, even on the same keyboard. Now, I know WYSE (SP) is generally lower quality than cherry, but It's still highly probable that they've gone through some revisions on their molds.

I've been emailing back and forth with Melissa about the upcoming R3 moogle buy.  I'm up for adding some options.  Two issues though are cost and legend creation.  I don't want to bloat the cost of the buy.  I also don't want to burden cycloverid with making more legends from scratch.  I suppose at this point I should just suck it up and learn how to use Inkscape, but there's no guarantee that a handback legend done by someone other than cycloverid would look as good as his legends.
