A BRZ? Nice! :) I prefer it to the Toyota version. The front end seems more timeless to me and the interior is nicer.

If you are serious, send me a message when the car you want is at least 25 years old, since that's when you can import for the US ;)

To be honest, I'm not a big fan of the A3 either but the S3 just does it for me for some reason.  No matter which A3 I drove with whatever package...just didn't like it.  Took the S3 out for a spin and was hooked.

Congrats on the new car Sent! Great taste!  :thumb:

Took some photos of the wife's and my car yesterday.

Vehicle/suspension/wheel/tire information

2015 VW Golf Sportwagen TDI on H&R Sport Springs and VMR701 18X8.5 ET45 with 235/40/18 Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric All Season (9.1" treadwidth)

2014 Mitsubishi Evolution X GSR on Ohlin R&T Coil overs and Enkei NT03+M 18x9.5 ET27 (with 5mm spacer up front to clear brakes) on 265/35/18 Continental DWS (pro-tip, DWS run very narrow for their width, I'll never buy them again because of that, stupid looking rounded sidewalls, should have gone with the F1s like I did for the wagon)

It was supposed to be overcast, ended up being super sunny which blew out a lot of the photos, ah well.

Very tastefully modded Psy. Nice choice in parts. Is that the Do-Luck trunk? Painted? Or are they making them in non-cf now? O_o

Thanks Sent.

My garage door got closed on my trunk last year; the bolt on the handle actually caught it and dented/scratched it all the way down the front between the tail lights before I managed to stop the door. While I was trying to figure out what to do, either get it repaired or buy new, the guys at Bulletproof said there was a long lead time on the Do-Lucks. Around that time someone on the Facebook Evolution X owners club organized a group buy for the VIS Carbon Fiber "Demon" trunks, which are similar but the lip is longer and slants backward more.

I ended up with a trunk for $500 shipped, and got it painted to match. It fits pretty well, the body shop had to remount the latch for it to line up correctly, but I read that’s pretty common regardless of the manufacture. Cost me a lot less to get this trunk set up than to repair the OEM trunk and I really like the look of the integrated lip rather than the tacked on OEM lip, or the giant spoiler. It also makes it easier to buff and wax, comes out much nicer without the seam of the taped on OEM lip.

Damn, that's VIS?  I wouldn't have guessed.  It looks like they really stepped up the quality of their stuff these past few years.  I still remember when they were relatively new and fitment was always a gamble.  And yeah, I had to remount the latch on my Do-Luck, too.  I did the install myself and it was a pain in the ass.

Definitely agree with you regarding the integrated lip versus the tacked on OEM lip.  It's so much cleaner this way.  Duckbill trunks are smexy. :p  I wish they made one for the S3.  :'(

Here's my first car, 2005 Jetta GLI. Lowered, chipped, exhaust, intake.

Unfortunately the low life got to me, so I ended up upgrading to a 2008 R32! Currently only has an intake, but I'd like to get it tuned very soon.

I always wanted to try a R32.

I wish I didn't have to pay sales tax and inspection nonsense on used cars, I'd do something different every year and a half. You don't get a true feel for a car until you live with it for a while.

I like it. It's got much more top end power than my last car, the leather seats are super nice (and heated!). To be honest, I definitely miss the Jetta. I enjoyed having a turbo car, and definitely miss it. The AWD is real nice in the winter though, and comes in super handy here (especially with the winter we had last year).

it's never cold enough in cali that you need heated seats.

I've been trying real hard to move away from turbo and AWD but I keep coming back to it.  Had an s2k for a while and it was fun but not enough, even after boost. :))

Finding this hitch wasn't easy.
Receiver is behind the license plate. I was going to do a flip mount for the plate but it wont be visible at all, so I have to move it to the rack when in use.
Well worth it though, nothing beats riding.
