Based on the Korean shaved ice dish comes a unique red bean colored GMK set. Using two custom RAL colors and GMK's CP the distinct color of red bean is achieved.

Yes, I'm pretty sure. The 1.75 backspace in 40s kits is R2 and is for the Minivan (also the Planck uses a 1u backspace on R2). These are my 2 most used 40% boards, so that's why I noticed. And I created the 40% Discord...so there was probably discussion there a while back about about a good 40s kit. Anyhow, the set looks great and I hope it does well. :thumb:

It's more than just the 1.75 backspace whose row is marked incorrectly. All the R1 keys in the 40s/Ortho kit should be R2, and the row labeled R2 should be R3. Keep everything else about the kit as-is -- it's great. Especially keep all the space keys convex!

What's wrong with using a custom color? A spectrophotometer is being used to analyze samples and GMK is very cooperative to matching customer RAL colors. They also have the same RAL D8 deck that I have on hand.

As someone who has done color matching with GMK, I can tell you that GMK takes it very seriously. The samples I received, even on the first try, were extremely close to the Pantones - Pantones, not RAL. They profess to being able to match RAL colors even better. I would not worry about it.

Are numbers typically this low for smaller GBs? I kinda expected this to hit MOQ faster than this.
This is an incredibly tough month for keyset GBs with 15 this month, 11 of them being GMK (these numbers are counting October GBs that have ended, as well). I'm letting funds recover a bit, myself, before hopping on this, because I definitely want to help make this happen.

Whats up with the "B" key in the Spacebar kit? is it just a blank R4 key? I'm new to the community.

Does the Delta indicate some sort of deviation? Just by looking at the graph, the light one has a bigger deviation to me, though actually the dark one has.
The DeltaEab is the euclidean distance between the sample and reference on the CIELab colorspace - which takes into account the human visual system; at neutral a DeltaE of 1 is considered a just noticeable difference. The spectral reflectance measurements are purely about how the materials reflect a standard illuminant. the plastic for sure has some kind of peak in the near infrared but the important part is the number of times that the lines cross each other while having very similar shapes.

I would guess that the percentage difference between the two lines is more important than the absolute difference, so the full 0-100 scale on the dark sample graph distorts one's perceptions.
A straight percentage difference of the reflectance graphs would not make much sense, the human visual system is not linear and varies per wavelength. Taking the reflectance and putting it into a color space such as CIELab and then calculating a difference provides (DeltaEab) as close as you can get to a single number to describe difference.

There seem to be GMK delays across the board so theres still a while before they would go up. The 6.25u spacebar was a bit warped, but works fine.
This is really minor, but I did notice the circles on the 5 % key look really thin. OG Cherry double shot for comparison.

IMO it actually looks better. Comparing a set of Nines to OG Cherry I noticed that the newer legend for '#' on the 3 key was also more properly sized on GMK.

Did your GMK Nines also have the thin circles on the % sign? Wonder if GMK redesigned it. I personally prefer the older, thicker circles.

If you look closely at your set, the mods and arrows are center aligned (dixie mods because he re-designed it for all his sets starting with 8008). The custom board renders on the first post have the mods aligned to top left of the key. These are original cherry mods. The person you replied to is upset because this set was presented with og cherry mods, but later changed to dixie mods.

Yes this is what meant! Upset is probably an overstatement, I was just wondering if the change was mentionned somewhere because I learned about it when openning my set haha

Unfortunately, PK was forced to dissolve recently so unsure how it would be able to move forward (at least for US orders). Might have to be picked up by another vendor to fulfill orders but that is TBD.

EDIT: Novelkeys is taking over R2 fulfillment but you have to pay again as PK never paid for the sets to be made and therefore GMK still has to be paid in order for them to be made.
