More
UPDATE:

I have decided to go with GMK/Cherry profile.

MOQ will be 60/120 payed orders for the set which will include custom colors & legends.

It will be a single set/pack like Hyperfuse was.

Gray on blue for alphas & blue on black for mods.

Originative Co. will be the vendor.

This is still an IC so some things may or may not change.

Expand Keyboard & Co. SA below if you need a refresher on colors etc.

Keyboard & Co. SA:

Most people favored the black mods so gray caps are now an optional addon.
Some mock-ups have the wrong font on keys, the font used will be SP's standard Gorton Modified so you can ignore those.

Intro:

Hey gh, this is a set I've been working on for a awhile that I call Keyboard & Co.

The colors are based off the 05 Dunk SB collab release with Diamond Supply Co which most people may know as, Tiffany's".

Photo: erofe_98

Colors:

At the moment the set is planned to be uniform SA row 3.

I'm thinking about having the base set be the alphas & obsidian mods + TKL since I like that look better & have the platinum keycaps be an add on if people want.

This is an interest check so I put them separate since you would have extra keys if you're a < TKL user & maybe people prefer alphas & mods separate etc, we'll see :)

Mock-ups:

Tenkey:
123567-11

123569-12

TKL:
123571-13

123573-14

60%:
123575-15

60% Winkeyless:
123577-16

Duck Viper:
123579-17

1800:
123581-18

Packs:

Alphas:
123583-19

Obsidian Mods:
123585-20

Platinum Mods:
123587-21

Obsidian TKL:
123589-22

Platinum TKL:
123591-23

Numpad:
123593-24

Platinum Numpad Add On:
123595-25

Tsangan Obsidian:
123597-26

Tsangan Platinum:
123599-27

Novelties/Flex Pack(fire emoji)(fire emoji)(fire emoji):
123601-28

I'm for sure making an ISO kit but haven't gotten to that & other kits yet.

Lemme know what you think, thanks :)

I actually wanted a pair of those shoes since i first saw them and still would buy a pair but they're $$$$$ and i mess up shoes real quick. This will replace the need for the shoes as they will last forever!

I had this same thought.  Like the look of the set but wondering about those legends against BFQ.

Really like this shade of blue, I'm thinking about blue alpha + black front.

I tried that but I mainly went against using it since it made it look like a reverse Pulse set.

Tried it just now with mod font changed to GoB & one with gray font for all. Actually liking the gray font for all which could eliminate the need any gray add on packs.

123619-0

Looks nice, but hopefully the alpha legends wont be too faded.

Not sure if the color chip photos are accurate but the gray looks dark enough to be seen well on blue.

The colors in the mock-ups were just color codes from DT's wiki.

Might buy the color chips if I can't find anyone with them soon :thumb:

My vote is for grey too~ The renditions may look really light but it'll definitely be more deep and darker in real life ~

Honestly, the middle one with the darker legends is pretty damn nice.  Much as I like blue/gray combos, the 2nd one pops a bit more.

If what everyone is saying about the grey looking darker in real life then I think that would be the better color. Either way, count me in for a set!
I need more keyboards to hold all of these keycaps.

Yeah, I'll be back with more accurate color chip photos soon to help solve that issue :p

Hmm yeah I can see why you might say that, reminds me more of DSA Quartz since there's no black & it's mostly gray with blue accents rather than mostly blue.

7bit's Round 4 Retro set used BFQ. You may want to check out pictures of that set on the DT wiki to see if it is really the color you want. I have the R4 set, and to me BFQ looks too washed out in real life. It may look better on a set like this though.

I remember hearing about this after posting my board with my tiff highs on reddit. I'm super hyped to see this coming along nicely. A swoosh would probably be asking too much for the novelty pack... but maybe a SB logo?

I like the color scheme but not a fan of "Brilliant" being the backspace and wondering why there is no Ctrl and Alt caps. I know there is another kit having Backspace but I can't justify buying another kit just for one key. Renders can go a long way though to generate some interest, I'm still undecided until I can see what it actually looks like. Best of luck :thumb:

Hey thanks :) I don't think I'll put any logos in it though, with JTK Sophomore I believe there was a problem with the Cola spacebar & same with the Out of the Vault GB that used, "logos".

Hey Steezus that's my bad :p awhile after I posted this I switched it to regular backspace & put that in novelties for anyone that wanted to make the set more Tiffany & Co. themed. Just haven't updated it yet since I wanna do that all at once when I see BFQ more. But for ctrl & alt I usually don't see them when there's meta & hyper etc which is why. Thanks :)

Seeing quite a lot of sets in similar colour schemes like this lately so hopefully it doesn't affect sales/becoming a GB.

Small update, here's some shots of all the color chips which should show how they look IRL more so than the one's from SP.

The color chips look good.  I'm curious about how the gray/blue combo will look with legends so I decided to use my incredibly poor Gimp skills to slap the two together, using one of the chip pics on here.  Here's the result.  Hint, there's some GTL gray on the BFQ chip.

Ooh good idea! I should've done that :)

Looks nice, a lot more elegant with BFQ than the black legend by it.

Love the color and idea of uniformed SA row 3. Definitely would be down.

Have you thought about getting a render made for this set yet? You've generated quite a bit of interest.

I think including some GH and r/mk keys in the novelty set would be great
Oh f'sure on geekhack, if there's enough interest I can include r/mk as I don't frequent it.

Mostly go there just to see any good photos, techmattr's shots are hot hot hot.

Not really, camper makes some quality renders if you were referring to those tho

It's nice to have but many great keysets have run without them.

I'd like use my extra cash to make gifts & such for friends rather than make my IC flashier.

I would say that a render gives people a better idea on what they'll be receiving. Could convince some people who may be on the fence about the set.

Very true, well I'll think about it :)

I do love camper's renders :)) best around IMO.

If I do are there any boards/layouts you'd like to see?

Thanks harl! ;)

So FLFisherman convinced me to get some renders made, what a buster :))

2 quick questions before I do:

- Should it be a TKL render? 60% is my jam & all I have but TKL might show off the set better.

- Would you rather have a base set of alphas + black mods with gray as optional kits or have the base be alphas with an option to go black or gray kind of like Deep Space with purple or blue kits? Maybe even scrap most of the the gray mods & just have a gray color pack for certain keys? Like enter & F1-4 + F9-12 etc.

Hey, it's just good business. I'll even make a little donation to help pay for that service.  :thumb:

I think you should go with a TKL render. You're absolutely right, it would show off the set better.

I personally like the black mods more than gray, but that's up to you or the rest of the interested parties. Beyond that I don't think you should change it too much, since people have shown interest in what you've already got.
